I find it staggering how their players and fans took this accusation so lightly, the celebrations from the players using pretend bino’s, the gilly suits etc in the crowd. The delusion on their message board is off the charts too. If i was in their position i’d have been deeply worried and uncomfortable from the moment it came out. I know it wasn't all fans etc. But for this reason i have very little (if any) sympathy for them at all. Arrogance doesn't cover it.

I remember listening to 606 a few seasons ago when we beat them in the championship but we were struggling and there were droves of their fans ringing in using the quote “a team like Southampton should be beating the likes of SAFC” similar arrogance, never liked them since tbh.

There's a Southampton fan at work that keeps banging on about how it was just a rogue intern and that nobody higher up was in any way involved.

It'll be interesting to see what he says tomorrow!

The owners of Southampton have a massive job on their hands to keep fans onside! There’ll be a huge backlash and those in management who knew will be peddled. Think they’ll be in big trouble next season

If I was a Southampton player whose boss through cheating had been deprived of a chance of winning a play off final and no doubt doubling his wages at least I would be pretty annoyed.
The fact the head coach hasn't been dismissed for what equates to gross misconduct is baffling in itself, unless the people in authority above him are heavily involved.

I reckon Southampton are awaiting the FA investigation as it means more likely no compensation if they sack him, or they are scared to as the owners sanctioned it.
 
I mean it was obvious it was coming from him. A bloke that’s never managed before walks in and turns a team in the bottom four to the playoffs in 33 games. Has one of the best win ratios in the game etc. He looked guilty as fuck as well, and acted like an arrogant prick. Hope he gets the boot, feel sorry for junior staff who will have done it because they’ve been instructed too are now tarred with the cheater brush. He’s a twat hope they toss the book at him.

Guaranteed that more will come out but about the games they did win and he's going to end up with a long ban as it is.

Aye, they will have a stronger hand in sacking him after an FA investigation. If the owners sanctioned it, it would put they in a very tricky situation with regards to sacking him and also be hypocrisy at it highest.
If it is the latter, this could get even more messy than it already is. How could they sack him for giving the green light to do this?
The FA investigation hopefully will reveal how far this cheating culture stretched in the club? Did it go all the way to the top, were the owners kept in the dark with regards to this?
