...as if that was just it mateSeems strange that they only done it 3 times unless these were the only training grounds where they thought they could get access to without being seen.

Fair point, but if it was earlier in the season it's evidence of it happening over a longer period too.Weren’t Southampton closer to the foot of the table than the top at the time they spied on Oxford though? I’m assuming by the date this was an early game in his tenure?

No, Southampton were 4 points off play offs around that timeFair point, but if it was earlier in the season it's evidence of it happening over a longer period too.
He also argued that it was ok to do it in other countries despite it not being legal in any of the ones he's coached in.His argument falls down by the fact that the guy ran away when he was caught, if his defence is right why didnt the guy just explain what he was doing and ask what the problem was, and maybe then ask for a selfie with the Boro team![]()
Haway man, just about every clubs fans would have had a small section taking the piss. We had some of our lot singing "He shags who he wants" when the Johnson shit first came about didn't we? I wouldn't do shit like that personally but silly stuff happens throughout football.
A single lad being caught with an iPhone at the time seems very trivial. Look at the reaction by many on here saying it was fuck all. Do you really not expect that some of our fans wouldn't take the piss in the game? We'd also be pissing ourselves laughing if Luke did the spying gesture.
Now a lot more of the truth has come out they look like idiots as it seems it's a much more serious issue, but footy fans will be footy fans before the facts come out, that's a given.
Pretty sure Southampton play many of their 21's/development side fixtures at Eastleigh's ground, so they will know the set up there inside out.If this is true then their manager need banning for life from English footballYou must be logged on to see media items
Well, Charlie Austin in the Sky Sports studio has just (as an ex professional) derisively laughed off the suggestion that Hull will be at a disadvantage. The look on his face was one of the”are you kidding me?” as he said that Hull will have been preparing for either side. They'll have had to plan for 2 matches up until last night, that is definitely a disadvantage
Because if you live in London its not a problem, and as all the old f@rts on these committees never exit the city into the real world they are cluelessCould someone please explain why the KO time will be brought forward and hour if Boro play Hull - why not just leave it at 4.30pm?
The only rule breach during the play off competition was cheating against Boro, for that they have been eliminated from the competition which they cheated in, a competition that is still live. The football league is a separate competition and is finished/closed. A starting points deduction has been made for next season in that closed competition.Waiting for Wrexham to join the legal fight and sue someone, they would have finished 6th with Southampton being expelled

Yeah I don't agree with him. I don't see how it wouldn't be a disadvantage. You're either spending 100% of your opposition time on one team, or splitting that time on twoWell, Charlie Austin in the Sky Sports studio has just (as an ex professional) derisively laughed off the suggestion that Hull will be at a disadvantage. The look on his face was one of the”are you kidding me?” as he said that Hull will have been preparing for either side.
On another angle, when I saw that he was ‘the pro’ commenting on the issue, I thought “oh…here we go. He’ll stand up for his former club”
WRONG!! He slammed Southampton for cheating and said that the decision to expel them was totally correct and justified.
Colour me stunned!
What’s the reasoning behind the different kick off times? You must be logged on to see media items
Will hull and Boro fans all be trying to get on same trains ? Imagine fun at some services
I agreeThis is simply an unfair scenario for Hull, its pretty outrageous.
This. The punishment so far was dished out to get the playoff out the way as it impacts no one promoted or relegated. Very messy to sort it quickly and there was enough of a gap between them and Wrexham. I will be amazed if it’s only happened on 3 occasions. Oxford was back in December, and that’s a long gap between it happening again v Ipswich.I wouldn’t be surprised to see them hit with more points to be honest mate
Does anyone believe they “only” spied on Oxford (lost & relegated) and Ipswich (drew & promoted). Didn’t win either and both teams now out of the championship and not impacted by the points.
I’mthe FA won’t believe this either. It’s whether they’re able to find further evidence. I’d be surprised if this is over yet and probably not to Southampton gain
We all know now this wasn’t a one off against Boro. And from there it’s simply unbelievable that they randomly chose those two league games, and they didn’t spy on “any” of their wins.
Again, Haway man, have you seen what it's like on here manI’m not denying any of that but then if you act like that you can’t suddenly change your tune to - “I’m disgusted with the club”, “darkest day in our 141 year history” etc…
Saintsweb and Twitter are like bipolar. A significant number found it hilarious and mocked the charges but now want to take the moral high ground in turning their anger on the club? Absolute bollocks
They did the double over Southampton and my mate who’s a Hull fan wanted them in the final if they got there.Hull will have been preparing more for Boro than Southampton. The overwhelming feeling from people in the industry that i know, is that this decision was inevitable.
They might have put out messages saying they were "disappointed" but that will be a façade. They will be delighted they are playing Boro rather than Southampton.
