It was definitely a thing before the first leg and it def would have been the same discussions except it would have been about southamptons punishment and not who plays the final etc..But if boro have overcome Southampton over the 2 legs not one poster on here would have been twisting or complaining about Southampton cheating …how weird

Discussed yes , but nowhere near the meltdown some so called Sunderland fans are having on here..this Southampton guy who was apparently spying on them,what info was he supposed to have got ? as from what I seen in both games it can’t of been much as Southampton were poor and boro not much better
just seems like a poor excuse now both games have been played and they’re out at this moment in time ,nowt would of been said if they’d went through as I already mentioned imo

I mean they’d still have cheated and would be facing a points deduction starting next season. Don’t think it matters if they won or lost they still broke rules at the end of the day.But if boro have overcome Southampton over the 2 legs not one poster on here would have been twisting or complaining about Southampton cheating …how weird

Should be quite simple Southampton caught spying, they lose their play off final spot and Boro get to play Hull instead in the final, the EFL have to make a decision now as time is ticking away before the final, if they do that then any future punishments for Southampton can be discussed over the next few weeks. If Boro had won then the EFL could of just took their time but as Southampton beat Boro over the 2 legs then it has made them have to take quick action. Breaking the rules have consequences so...
Hull sporting director has also now said they don't have evidence against Southampton, not sure if they'd been suggested to have had proof beforehand like

If we were on the wrong end of this we'd all be claiming exactly the same as what Boro are.
Southampton have broken a clear rule and should be dealt with accordingly. Allowing them a shot at promotion by playing at Wembley vindicates their cheating and sets a dangerous precedent for others to follow.

Why would you break the rules, risk being punished, if it was of no advantage.Get a grip FFs! SAFC have a FREE KICK specialist,imagine spying on us for tips. How many have we scored this season in 38 league games ? We have a specialist for corners,how many goals have we scored in 38 league games ? 3420 minutes football ,just pure luck if we score or pure luck defenders get lucky to clear. I thank you and rest my case M'Lord .

They weren’t really beaten fairly as boro didn’t have a spy with a camera and a directional mic (sonic ear for us 80’s kids) checking Southampton out.You were beaten fairly over 2 legs so no you don’t deserve a place in the final
I’d be fuckíng fuming with us if we did that before the semi against Coventry and be fearing the worst. I feel sorry for the fans but if you cheat you deserved to get punished.
