Southampton spying compendium thread

Won in extra time after playing over 200mins of football.
Small margins. The spying probably got them over the line
Get a grip FFs! SAFC have a FREE KICK specialist, imagine spying on us for tips. How many have we scored this season in 38 league games ? We have a specialist for corners, how many goals have we scored in 38 league games ? 3420 minutes football ,just pure luck if we score or pure luck defenders get lucky to clear. I thank you and rest my case M'Lord .😉

Always honest in my judgements.
If we're beaten fairly then yep, fair enough I say so.
But, Southampton broke the rules and in my opinion should pay the consequence for that, otherwise it just becomes a free for all for anyone that decides to cheat.
Obviously, as a Boro fan I'd prefer it for us to take their place in the final
You were beaten fairly over 2 legs so no you don’t deserve a place in the final 🤷🏻‍♂️

Southampton should be expelled due to cheating and the reason I think Hull should get a free pass is because Boro were unable to progress after getting beat my Southampton. Had Boro refused to play the matches against Southampton by disputing the legitimacy then fair enough. But they didn't. They had their chance and blew it. Why should they get giving a second chance? Because I doubt they'd be complaining about the spygate had they progressed.

Of course it's a hindrance because how you set up against PSG would be a hell of a lot different to setting up against Wolves. Against Southampton I can imagine Hull's primary goal would be to counter attack. Perhaps they were planning on target X position. Now not knowing which team they'll play is going to impact how they set up and which areas they'll target as weaklings. How can it not be a hindrance?
Well, maybe. But I’d wager if you asked Hull fans, management and players as of now who they’d rather play, over 90% of each group would say Boro.

However, I do agree with you that it makes game preparation for Hull massively difficult. And yes, as you point out, Football is hugely tactical these days, which in some ways makes the spying allegations all the more heinous.
