Southampton spying compendium thread

Why don't they, when they write such rules, also write the consequences/punishments (within range of seriousness) so if anyone decides to cheat they are aware of what will happen if they get caught.

Its baffling, yet not surprising, that whilst they have a rule book and when the rules are broken, they dont know the sanctions immediately.
There's too much money involved and the upshot of that is that people won't accept punishment without challenging a decsion that has gone aginst them in a Court.

The problem for the FL here is - will Southampton sue them if they disqualify Saints from the play offs or will Boro sue the FL if they do nowt about Southampton.

Is that training ground accessible via a public road or do you have to go through the entrance of the complex to get there?

Bit different if you can just walk around without breaking and entering like.

Which is why the sanctions should be made very clear at the outset. Clubs agree to rule changes before the season starts, that should also clearly what the punishment should/would be.

Its adjoined to Rockcliffe Hall isnt it?

Seems the whispers are boro have been given evidence by Ipswich and Wrexham suggesting they were also spied on

If true, then surely they can't just put boro through since Wrexham (who were battered 1-5) would have made the playoffs with just another point I believe

Hull also at a disadvantage the longer they don't know who they're playing while both Southampton and Boro are aware they're (possibly) playing Hull

They do. That’s what happened when Leeds were caught.

A new rule was introduced and the consequences are fine and or sporting sanctions including expulsion.

They have the power.

“independent disciplinary panels with the power to impose a wide range of punishments ranging from reprimands to fines, points deductions and, in extreme cases, expulsion from the competition.”

complete shit show. Whispers that there are 4 clubs in addition to Boro, a lot of speculation though. Ipswich, Wrexham, Coventry and A N other

I'm thinking of this from Hull's perspective.

Let's say Southampton still go to the final and beat them, Hull will claim they shouldn't have been allowed to be there.
If Boro replace them in the final and beat Hull - Hull will cry about Boro not deserving it due to not even winning their two semis.

What a mess it all is.

You clearly don’t get it.

Opposition find out starting 11, tactics, set piece approach, potential subs…list goes on. It is a huge advantage and makes you question their run of making the playoffs. Tonda gets 3 manager of the month awards in a row. How often has that happened? It stinks and needs a harsh punishment.
You're bang on.

The minimal details can get you a 200 million prize at the end.

They need to be checking the guys phone who was caught. I can virtually guarantee his google history on maps will show he's been in all the places Southampton were playing the week prior to each game.

Brian Brobbey's sponsorship partner this year i noted is a surveillance company. Is this rife in the industry and only coming to light now? Is it a 'taboo' subject that everyone knows goes on but doesn't talk about?

Did we use it to go up?

This! It's just the severity and scale of the offence that isn't yet known by the EFL so they can't yet determine the punishment (which has been mentioned in many media articles and on here)

If it’s in the rule book then the efl have the power to kick them out and I’m not sure Southampton would have any leg to stand on if they tried to take it too court surely.

If it’s in the rule book that they can be removed if found guilty they all but admitted it so no one can ever say anything tbh. It sounds like evidence is racking up they’ve done it more this season then they don’t have a leg to stand on and no one can moan again if it’s in the rule book.
