Southampton spying compendium thread

Clearly want to make an example.

I must admit I'm suprised but I assume there's be more going on and for a lot longer than it was originally thought.

According to SSN the FA can get involved now too and start charging individuals. So coaching staff, Eckert, etc for “bringing the game into disrepute”

Don’t see it happening but who knows

You can’t quantify the advantage Southampton gained is my only issue. As someone with no skin in the game whatsoever, if we’d been in this position last season, I’d rather have been in boro’s shoes than hull. Someone watching your training session through an iPhone from a bush is less impactful than preparing to play an entirely different opponent while the new opponent has been exclusively training for you.
I don’t think it matter really does it, they’ve admitted doing it. That’s why I’m thinking they’ve been getting something out of it to have done it to multiple teams they’ve been getting something out of it. The huge up tick in form would back that up too. It’s in the rule book now and the punishment is written. I just don’t understand why they’d continue to do it if they were getiingf little out of it. Seems like it was more than just his iPhone too.

In their defence, the punishment wasnt defined for the crime. They probably wouldn’t have done it if the EFL set the punishment when they changed the rule. It’s fuck around and find out though for sure. Interesting they’ve admitted to doing it in games they failed to win (they failed to beat Boro too afterwards) so suspect their defence is going to be look what little impact it has.

It’s such a grim way to cheat.

Everyone aware of this should be drummed out of the club.

We deserved to be promoted after your lot were disciplined. However, after being rightly beaten at Wembley and having that disappointment, being promoted via the discipline procedure, was good, but didn't compensate for the Wembley trip.

Put yourself in the position of a Swindon Supporter though.
Take away the emotion of the game.
We won, we celebrated, we lost in a room without a ball.

I have never questioned whether we were guilty. It’s like speeding, the limit is the limit. The club broke the rules. I didn’t and watched every game.

I can say this with conviction to every supporter of every club.
You will never go through that hurt that I did. Sickening.

I suspect the FA will be throwing Encyclopaedia Brittanica at the individuals concerned
