South Shields FC 25/26 Thread

Thought Darlo were very good tactically in the first half, then just battled to hang on to their lead in the second.
I can only remember Shields having 2 shots.... A Finch volley first half and a ball to Finch that he tried to take round the keeper, everything else were scrambled efforts.
Not good enough for a team in second place.

Watching Fylde and Shields is like chalk and cheese😂😂

Remaining fixtures…

Radcliffe (A)
Macclesfield (H)
Bedford (H)
Kidderminster (A)
Just checked the playoff dates if we make it to the final won’t even be able to go playing Man United we are on the same day for goodness sake.

Why would it be changed?

The majority of Sheilds fans are also Sunderland fans not Newcastle.

Makes sense surely Sheilds will acknowledge this and ask for the game to be played at 7:45 or on the Sunday - they could do as they would be at home.
To which their opponents would surely object. Why give them an even bigger advantage with more support there.

Geoff Thompson, Chairman of South Shields FC, confirms that Lee Picton has left South Shields FC.

After almost ten years of outstanding service, Lee has decided it is the right time for him to move on due to personal reasons. The club thanks him for his significant contribution and wishes him well for the future.

The club also confirms the appointment of three senior executives who will play a central role in driving the club’s next phase of growth and ambition.

Chris Bell has been appointed Technical Director, taking responsibility for football strategy, player development pathways, and ensuring alignment across all technical departments.

Francesca Callebaut joins as General Manager, bringing extensive experience in operations and organisational leadership. She will oversee the club’s day‑to‑day management and help strengthen its long‑term strategic foundations.

Mike Williamson arrives as Director of Performance and Culture, a role focused on enhancing player performance environments, supporting staff and player development, and embedding a strong, unified culture throughout the club.

These appointments mark an important step forward as South Shields FC continues to build a modern, progressive structure designed to support success on and off the pitch.

South Shields FC looks ahead with confidence as Chris, Francesca, and Mike begin their work, strengthening the club’s leadership and helping shape an exciting future for everyone connected with the Mariners.

I don't no if I've put this out before and don't know much about him myself but when Williamson first came to the club there was loads of fans from the clubs he'd been at absolutely slating him.

One of many said you'll rue the day you let him into your club.
