South Shields FC 25/26 Thread

Terrible today only one team wanted it second half, we were lucky to get a point.

Their manager deserves a medal for what he must of said at HT.

11 unbeaten but draws are no good when Fylde are flying again and Merthyr back on track. We are now chasing rather than having a good margin at the top so need to get some of the sharpness back that we showed in early season. WE dont have a great record in playoffs, so top spot must be the firm target.

Merthyr are out of it surely? Lost yesterday and 8 points behind Shields having played 3 more games.

Unfortunately, Merthyr are now getting found out, with all the long-distance away fixtures.
Also losing the top scorer (Rees) hasn't helped.
Think The Martyrs will do well to stay in a play-off place.
Good luck to South Shields, I'm optimistic you will be Champions...

Does that mean Sheilds could be awarded victory and three points?

If not that is down right not on.
Don't think anyone at the club wants to be awarded the points as such, not fair on other teams maybe, but a massive points deduction, order to repay our costs of original game etc would be in order IF (big if) they are found guilty of this.

Just been reading this. Purposely getting a game called cos you have a load of injuries and playing the team top of the league is basically cheating. Now Shields and their fans have the inconvenience of a ridiculously long midweek trip for the rearranged game. Whatever the outcome it won’t benefit Shields.

Let’s hope there is a bit of karma in play here.

Up the Mariners.

Tough trip to Macclesfield for Fylde, could do with a bit of a boost atm with them getting turned over and us winning at home, would put us two points ahead, same games played, and still to play them.
