Seeing as it's an important game for England I thought I would start my first ever cricket match thread.

None of this weather shit or pitch report malarkey (sorry Carty) but I can report that the Saffers are resting Steyn and Morkel  and replacing them with Parnell and Tsotsobe. Tahir also gets a recall. Their full team is:

Smith (c)
Amla
van Wyk (w)
Kallis
Duminy
du Plessis
Botha
Peterson
Parnell
Tahir
Tsotsobe

I can't be arsed to type out the full Bangles team but Naeem Islam replaces fellow spinner Shuvo.

I can understand SA resting their two main seamers but it wouldn't surprise me if Smith made the decision partly to worry England and make us sweat through this game, being the twat that he is

Anyway, SA won the toss and elected to bat. They got off to a flying start hitting 27 after 3 overs. Then the Bangles put their spinners on and that reduced the run rate. 51 for 0 after 10 overs.

Smith sucesfully appealed an LBW decision and after 14 overs they have moved onto 80 without loss (Amla 40, Smith 37).

Right, I'm knackered so off to bed. Hopefully get out of my pit in time to catch the end of this game. Come on you Saffer bassas!!!!

Does this show how shite England bowling is? Ireland, Holland and Bangladesh all scored runs against them and had been bowled out cheaply.

One decent pace bowler available for England now. Bresnan has been the best seamer followed by Shahzad. Tremlett, Broad and Anderson have looked knackered.

At least a proper spinner is played now with Tredwell in for Yardy.
