Just an apish copy of gesturing and posturing first done at the 1968. Olympics and that didn’t have any meaningful impact on any racial issues but only entrenched views which I think a lot of this kneeling ,fisting and showmanship does

Hi rat. Been a while. Hope you had a nice christmas

If you are implying what i think you are then youre wrong but you often are.

What has BLM achieved?
If you really want tangible examples, then as with virtually every social movement it’s impossible. It’s about a changing of attitudes over time.

What did Pride achieve in each individual year? Very little, but it’s helped take away stigmas.

Attitudes changing over time will never happen. As long as differences are prevalent on this planet inequalities and prejudice will always exist. Differences in age, colour, gender, religion, people with disabilities, people with ginger hair, people who wear shabby clothing, people with a speech impediment, people who live in a poor area etc etc ....will unfortunately always be subject to prejudice and an ‘ism’.....all we can do is educate.

You’re contradicting yourself there. We educate to change attitudes. Racism, sexism, homophobia etc are much less of an issue than they were 50 years ago. Turing is now a hero, at the time he has a criminal.

you’ll never rid the world of hatred, but over time differences are less of a problem
If they had a commitment to equality they would get rid of the quota system
I’m torn on this one. And always have been. In an ideal world it wouldn’t exist, but SA has come from a horrifically racist place.

I know what you mean, I get the need for 'training wheels' at first but it's been in place for so long that either it's time to take it away or whatever they're doing to fix the underlying prejudices hasn't worked. But I wouldn't call myself a beginner nevermind an expert on South African politics/culture.

I get that argument totally. I’m torn as I said
