From the wording of the preview it looks like Yusuf won't be in the starting XI.

Surely not going to play 6 batsmen and Robinson with Clark batting at 7.

Only playing 4 bowlers especially with the Aussie ball.

I don't get why they bring in Yusef until September to have him sitting around most of the time as Wagner is fit and available. Our signings this year, both permanent and loans seem to be complete scattergun and little thought.

Don’t mind that lineup. Will be intriguing to see how it plays and as to what the rationale was behind the decision to bowl. That said, a few counties have also done the same looking around the grounds - perhaps they feel Day 1 will be the most likely for the pitch to show ‘life’ and bowling first does represent the best chance of taking 20 wickets if we’re using the Stokes logic.

Regarding Yusuf, he’s the one of the 3 to miss out. LOVE that Wagner is back, is Yusuf around for the 50 over stuff? Might be harsh on him here, but he been really impressed by his contribution overall for us and I wouldn’t mind seeing more of him.

There was no need to play at it, 6th stump line. Looked like he went to drive it then tried pulling out of the shot too late
