SoL To Undergo Multi-Million-Pound Investment Programme

Easiest solution is to do what most other clubs do and have a fenced off outside area that is open during half time.

Wouldnt have to be permanent fencing , just temporary fencing that is put up during the first half and taken down during the second half .

Yes there's a cost involved but it would be a drop in the ocean for a premier league club , and would mean people could spend more money at half time and stay in their seats longer during the first half
Would make the concourses so much better even as they are now. It’s space that’s the biggest issue, like you say they could trail run this in the south stand. Temp fences put up when the match is going on for half time then taken down during the second half. Would take so much pressure off the bullpen that’s the concourse as people get served and don’t have anywhere to go since you can’t take alcohol into the stands.

In the east stand its made worse cos the queues that take ages basically form a solid wall of stationary people across the concourse, right where the toilets are at either side, which are then half full of people smoking tabs. When you include people tying to move about the concourse and others who are just trying to have a pint and a pie , it just comes a solid mass of people. It's not necessary.

Open some space up outside and put some of them little portable lager / bottle bars out there and it'll all become much more pleasant

What if you have two interviews for jobs with same pay ?You'l choose the one which feels the best and the subliminal cue's from an environment (even if you dont realise it)are part of that decision process!
You have international footballers signing for Burney & Palace and the likes so when you look at their facilities I don’t think a few faded seats makes a difference. It’s all about the game time & £££

I might be being naive as to why this wouldn’t work, but now with digital tickets, why do stadiums even need fenced off areas outside? I can understand the way it used to be because if you didn’t employ the fences method with gates left open, you’d need to pay turnstile operators to work beyond half time. Nowadays though, why couldn’t people just exit via the turnstiles or gates even and then scan back in when they want? Nobody without a valid ticket could scan in so there’s no risk there surely.
Assume because you could just keep passing a ticket on and on

Exactly. I'd have one in the south stand and 2 in the east stand , would solve a massive amount of issues.

It would take a small amount of organising and costs , and the only people getting the immediate benefit is the non-corperate fans, so the club aren't interested.

I'm pretty sure that the kiosk takings would increase massively
Aye, I’ll not entertain going down at HT unless I’m busting for a lag

Surely the training ground etc is what you'd care about not the stadium? You spend pretty much 1 day every 2 weeks in the stadium and it's still one of the best in the country regardless anyway.

Things like broken lifts which the chuckle brothers announced to the public being the sort of thing you'd pick up.

I don’t think the club even realise that the lack of space downstairs is aff3cting their HT sales.

When did that wheelchair platform area at the front of the away end get installed? Bloke next to me was adamant it has been there all season but I swear I’ve never seen it before.

Which of us is going mad?
