It’s the c2c routeI mean in terms of footfall, I wouldn't have thought it's massively beneficial for people to utilise it, but maybe i'm wrong.
So did they not reply in your focus group meeting?
Aye, that's the thing though, I can't see it being used by many at all purely for the match. Suppose it connects the riverside up the SOL regardless like. It’s the c2c route
It was also pretty well used by walkers before it was closed for the bridge development
Well it’s not for the match, none of the development is geared up purely for the match.Aye, that's the thing though, I can't see it being used by many at all purely for the match. Suppose it connects the riverside up the SOL regardless like.
You will have lots of people in the new houses who might fancy a walk along the river with their partner/family/dog. Its not just for the stadiumAye, that's the thing though, I can't see it being used by many at all purely for the match. Suppose it connects the riverside up the SOL regardless like.
Sorry i confused you for cack stottieI didn’t understand your question. This was from a meeting about 3 years ago.
What if you have two interviews for jobs with same pay ?You'l choose the one which feels the best and the subliminal cue's from an environment (even if you dont realise it)are part of that decision process!you may be right on that one, but if the pay is good my decision is swayed, generally.
2 ways of looking at this...Do nothing major until we stabilise and our crowds remain at this level.
The concourse's are not fit for purpose (they are simply to narrow)and the only way to solve that will cost a lot of money and i dont think the margins are great enough from food and drink(twice a month) to the Joe Bloggs fan to make it worth their while !Take this as your invite then, you're welcome to come along with me to the next one!
You're right, time will tell, but I can't help but feel like the experience as a whole was really positive and that the club are serious about listening and improving. I think now we've got a Premier League budget it's changed the scale of how quickly they can do stuff.
One of the big things I raised that I feel needs tackling is the fact that people routinely leave their seats from 35 minutes onwards - and I'm one of these people at most home games - to get a pint because if you don't, you haven't got a chance of getting one at half time in time to get yourself back to your seat. Thousands of people do it and they are thousands that are not in their seats supporting the team before and after half time.
The club really need to think seriously about improving the speed at which kiosk service happens on the concourse. The E-Bars have been a really smart addition but it's not enough - if they need to line every single spare space with them in order to facilitate the demand then they should do it. Presumably they cannot build more kiosks but there need to be alternatives explored.
One other thing that was put to the club was about opening up outdoor space and putting bars out there, like loads of other clubs do (went to loads of away games last season where this was the case). If they haven't got room on the concourses themselves, open up areas outside that people can use with pop up bars and so on. Seems a no brainer to me.
I know getting a beer at the match isn't a priority for most people, but it is for many and particular where I sit in the SWC it's almost impossible to spend your money on the concourse unless you leave your seat well before half time and, thus, you're not up there supporting the team.
Exactly football is about taking advantage of the here and now while planning for the near future. If we kick it down the line for three more seasons add another season to get it built etc you’re starting to look at five plus years. Five plus years ago we were in league wan. Football can change quickly, this isn’t just about football either. We need to keep up for the concert scene too, we have in the past missed out due to lack of premium seats for some gigs. The city needs a venue that continually attracts gigs like beyonce oasis etc like we have in the past.2 ways of looking at this...
Stabilise for 2-3 seasons with sell out crowds and go for a 5k+ extension to get built in season 4.....but then get relegated in season 5...or
Get all planning and approvals in place now while we have the momentum and get it built within the next 2 years...
My point is why wait? any club thats not cemented in the top 6/8 can easily get relegated....look how close spurs / Man u come last season
Lets just get it done

Not sure we will be paying upfront mate sack it klarna man split it in three.I guess it depends if the club have £10s millions just lying around to build it
Easy to say when it's not our money , but the club will look like a right set of idiots if we go down this seasonNot sure we will be paying upfront mate sack it klarna man split it in three.
I think they’ll be looking into it mate, I’m not saying break ground before the wolves game but I’d definitely be looking in 12 months time if we stay up. I think people need to forget about what if situations, we are likely to go down at some point that’s sport, the arse might fall out of football, the top teams may break away and make a super European league. We can’t control what ifs, we know right now we could sell more tickets if they were there. We know in the future those tickets could also be sold for gigs etc. I’m not that fussed if in five years time the worst happens and we have a few more empty seats that’s the ebbs and flows of sports. But I know for most aspects the club having 5k more tickets and maybe a better all round match day experience and income is good for the here and now and hopefully the next few years in the premier league. We need to widen our incomes if psr is here to stay also as we will soon hit the same obstacles as the likes of villa.Easy to say when it's not our money , but the club will look like a right set of idiots if we go down this season
If we stay up, I think it should be top priority next summer to commit funding to it. But right now, I think they'd be mad
This^^^I think the problem stems from letting a company that is obsessed with profit and couldn't give a shit about experience, run the bars and food kiosks. Never understood why we don't rent them out individually to pubs, brewery's,restaurants etc.Surely the independents would be over the moon with the footfall for a few hours.
Could that not technically happen now then, by someone scanning in and then when it goes green, passing their phone back to their mate? I always presumed the technology would be clever enough to identify when there is a scan in, meaning any other inward scan would be blocked until the following event (next home match in our case). So I thought it might be possible for them to be able to identify an outward scan, which would then allow another inward scan. So basically as long as there aren’t two of the same in or outward scans consecutively.
I walk down there quite a bit as an alternative to the coast sometimes, or did until the bridge development meant it was closed. It’s a really nice walk and is quite popular with other walkers, runners and cyclists. It is still an under-utilised riverside in terms of the commercial potential mind but that’s exactly why the riverside development plans are in place so we can hopefully make better use of what is a really nice area.Forgive my ignorance but what is actually down on the Riverside bit? Is there owt even there? or is it being done now with future development in mind?
Think he meant in the sense he'd scan out the ticket but not ever leave and someone else scans in. You'd technically have gone out and in but it's not what really happened.
Wristbands would be the only way to really sort that out, but that's another cost. Would deal with the issues in the South Stand aswell if everyone in there had a different coloured band so there's no more ticket checks.
