The naming rights for Sunderland are almost worthless unfortunately and that isn't a reflection of Sunderland as a club in anyway at all.

The fact is that just about everyone knows that for the last 27 years that Sunderlands stadium has been called the Stadium Of Light and that will massively affect any such future naming rights deal.

That is why Spurs for example have called their new stadium The Tottenham Hotspur stadium, and why they have tried to disassociate the White Hart Lane name as much as they can, they even tried the change the WHL train station name but it would have cost muti millions to do so.

Despite multiple talks and offers Spurs (Levy) are still waiting for the right deal before committing themselves for such an important long term revenue stream.

I think you are partially correct , the club have turned down multimillion pound offers in the last decade but decided it wasn't right . The offers certainly not worthless but not the gravy train some anticipate
 
Was over at the beacon yesterday and a few fellas on the east stand roof of the sol in work gear. Prep for painting maybe or roof repairs? Survey for stand extension? Anyone Itk?
 
Speakers sounded tough today, very crackly during DoTK not sure if it’s water or not but also playing the wrong song. Ha’way man :lol:

Cannet be broke already surely?

aye 😂 assume it’s the water getting in the speakers as the old ones were completely under the roof, and these ones curl out a little bit more. They’ll be under warranty anyway. You can’t tell me the old system has lasted all them years and the new ones haven’t lasted half a season haha.

Be surprised if the scoreboard is broken due to the rain with the amount of storms it has gone through. Possibly a broken connection. Playing the wrong tracks though and the sunderland substitutions were blank. Mr tech man is sacked :lol:
