Sound system looks cracking. Loads better than what we had before.

Look at the state of that East Stand roof on picture two, though. Awful.

Good idea to replace the old floodlights with new ones that can do those light show things. Better to have the option to use something like that, than not. Always looks good at Spurs, Wolves, etc. when they do it.

Needs sorting. Regular maintenance of this type of stuff would stop it being a big job. That’s on previous owners too like. I’m a critic of Murray, but I’m not sure he’d have allowed it to deteriorate like this

maybe they havent bothered because its getting an uplift
I would be chuffed to bits if they’re not replacing the roofs on the East and South stands, because they’re both getting extended, eventually. Hopefully one day in my lifetime I see that.

I imagine Bob would’ve been noticing all these things and staying on top of them.

100% you will see the stadium extended for extra seats as well as corporate facilities within the next 5 years without a doubt - its got to

I really hope that’s the reality. If England had got the 2006 World Cup instead of Germany, the whole of our stadium would be extended now.

its all ifs and buts - weve been missing from the gravy train for nearly 10 years which hasnt helped!
If we got promoted to the Premier League I’d plough a big chunk of the TV money into the stadium every year, to bring it up to spec. We’ve missed out on at least half a billion quid these past few years.

They don’t need to increase the number of seats. Corporate does need expanding however.

We aren’t regularly selling out on the football side of things and even the summer gigs dont consistently sell out. More seats aren’t needed. They could even reduce the number of seats to expand corporate (which is what I think they’ll eventually do).

If they are going to spend money on upgrades they will increase the stadium capacity as well as all corporate facilities, the club has been left behind over the last 10 years and they need to keep up with everyone else. In a way its like saying why are they spending billions on the city centre - no one goes there....Well if you dont build it they definitely wont come. We cannot be small time thinking by saying we dont fill out, of course we dont because were not in the top tier and havent been for nearly 10 years but we have...were something like 30th ranked in highest attendances over europe in that time and I think every club above us plays champions league football or Europa league football every season....we dont....we need to look up rather than been content

Which would be the worst thing ever as we'd have a 20k empty seats every game rather than 8k empty seats.

Don't get the obsession with extending the stadium when we don't fill it as it is.

The place would be like a morgue.

What a hardship. Be like someone offering to build Spurs’ ground for us, but then saying ‘we’ll never fill it.’

It wouldn't have been anything like Spurs ground though. It would've been a basic extension and everything else left the same.

The stadium was pretty much new in 2006 (9 year old).

It's totally incomparable.

Im not one of those on here that for some daft reason says we should not extend the seats cos it will spoil the atmosphere.but i doubt extra seas will be the main driver it will be corporate ..but if they are going to the expense of a major overhaul of one of the stands to hoy corporate boxes up (And all the infrastructure involved:stairs kitchens ect)they should put in some seats as a future proofing venture as seats will be a very small percentage of the build cost !..I dont know about anyone else but im a fan and i want to be proud of our stadium and the sol is a great design and i don't want it made into a hotchpotch of corporate boxes that spoil its aesthetics.Does anyone know if this new development is anything more than a feasibility study?,which is probably just musings for as if and when we ever get back to the prem? I know Bob wrote about seeing plans in his book and he was happy with them so i hope any development does not spoil the look of our wonderful stadium!
