SOL expansion

I remember seeing those. It's not too hard to picture that with extra hospitality and fewer rows of seats.
Indeed. Nothing wrong either trying to be ambitious and hopefully the owners have a little bit more ambition and vision than some of our fans.

SAFC is probably in a unique position in the premier league as the SOL, thanks to Sir Bobs vision, can relitively be easily and cheaply extended.

As football is only going to get bigger and with the planned development of sheepfolds I think the south stand extension does need to be looked at in the first instance. Obviously the east stand extension will probably be for another time.

Once the demand is there, prices will increase and/or they'll consider redeveloping the ground. It's not going to happen whilst the demand isn't there and making speculative decisions about what might happen in the future

Tbf you had a go at him for throwing personal insults off the back of him insinuating you were being delusional which you responded to by saying his argument was nonsensical. Now youre getting personal. Sometimes he really can't win.
There has been some good debate on here from both sides.

I have a different view from him but I’m delusional. I don’t think that is fair.

His point was the north stand only houses away support? Make of that what you may. However, it is wrong as the north stand also houses home support and whilst the majority of the stand is away support they also pay and his argument makes little sense. :) I think it’s fair to say his post was nonsense.

I have seen many of his posts where he belittles our support. No need imho.

Anyway enough of this nonsense let the thread get back on track.

Nothing would ever happen until it’s sold out for several consecutive seasons .
It’s likely to cost more to add the next level than it cost to build the whole thing too so unless you’re going to see a return on that investment then it’s not going to happen no matter how good it would look

Can't be true. Read on here it's a done deal to start extending the east stand.
Hes spoke to the council planning department. Thats that then, nothing happening in the background at all. Close the thread
I think your sanity 😂😂
Why does he keep using mate

Would it not be possible to mirror the West stand but instead of 27 rows of seats like the Premier concourse have maybe 2 rows of boxes and a 3 row of a premium bar then only something like 12 rows of seats above them.
Much needed additional hospitality and a few thousand extra seats, something like 55,000 capacity.
That would be the ideal scenario, maximising the demand for corporate and adding a few thousand extra seats.

Where are you putting the infrastructure for these boxes?

Lifts, toilets, stairs, emergency exits, catering, bars.

How do you do that without removing the roof or the walls?
Existing lifts, stairs and catering. it looks possible and others have suggested it the past. It would reduce capacity though.
I think your sanity 😂😂

You mean my lack of architectural knowledge?

I think you read things that aren't there to be honest mate. I think I've said multiple times that it's probably a good idea to increase the availability of hospitality. I also couldn't care less what others spend at the match, they could triple the price of all hospitality for all I care, it's extra income for the club and it's not my money.

I think it's the adding of over 10k extra seats that I think might be a mistake.
Having empty boxes surely would be more costly? Unless you rely on casual staff and responsive catering then having empty boxes would cost a small fortune
