TidiedThats what the urinals are fore mate?the emirates see nee problem with a pitch sloping roof so neither should wee!
Plans are already afoot before top 6.Hospitality entertainment and top 6 will lead to expansion.
Lifes too short for negativity.A couple of bold claims so far. Can't knock the positivity i guess
If you look more closely at Villas expansion plans they were planned and costed around 3 years ago (shortly after promotion), and their plans are exactly whats been mentioned that sunderland should be doing on here. There vision is actually noted as been 'more than a football stadium' and is all about been a community hub, a corporate arena, an entertainment venue and a catalyst for regeneration. Very much more than a football stadium in every aspect of the plans.Villa's top tier was empty when they were in the championship. Now they're established in the prem they're looking to extend as they're now in the champions league. Liverpool have extended because they've been selling out for years. Yet for some reason some on here think Sunderland need to futureproof by adding another 10-15k on top of the 5-10k that doesn't sell out. It's got to happen first before we extend, it's really not that difficult to comprehend
logic bypass mate!.. if they are going to spend millions on structural change increasing corporate offerings it makes financial and logical sense to add extra seats even if its only utilised for concerts or a small number of games......it would be madness not to as the seats would be a small part of the overall cost.I take it you suffer from the empty seat phobia like many on here?Villa's top tier was empty when they were in the championship. They had major problems with the roof leaking a year or so ago. Mind, they sorted it sharpish with a full roof refurbishment.Thats what the urinals are fore mate?the emirates see nee problem with a pitch sloping roof so neither should we!
Villa's problem is their new north stand requires the demolition of the existing north stand first which reduces capacity during the build. I think this is why they've not progressed it during the last three years. If you look more closely at Villas expansion plans they were planned and costed around 3 years ago (shortly after promotion), and their plans are exactly whats been mentioned that sunderland should be doing on here. This is why Sunderland should extend the corporate facilities as well as the the seating to very much future proof every aspect of the stadium to get up to touching distance with the elite if thats where we want to be. Other than that we should do nothing and stand still.....lets have some ambition and at least try and get where we think we should be.
Yeah, their delay is certainly going to cause them issues for the expansion but when they were in the championship, they were on a real financial knife edge. The investment to expand them could have been seriously problematic.Villa's problem is their new north stand requires the demolition of the existing north stand first which reduces capacity during the build. We on the other hand can extend without reducing capacity too much during the build.
Maybe Villa should have anticipated selling out and rebuilt their ground when they had the spare capacity to do so ?
The inland revenue were about to issue a court order, but they were taken over days before it was issued.Yeah, their delay is certainly going to cause them issues for the expansion but when they were in the championship, they were on a real financial knife edge. Thanks to Sir Bobs forward planning SAFC, imho, is uniquely placed in this country to expand relatively easily and cheaply,Villa's problem is their new north stand requires the demolition of the existing north stand first which reduces capacity during the build. I am getting g that vibe. Hope they make the outside all glass n that. Bring on the 60 thousand.Plans are already afoot before top 6.
It would probably be loans. Like that’s how expansions and new grounds work.49k is big enough. Besides, where do we think the money would come from? It wwould cost more to expand than Bob Murray even spent building the place.
Villa generally been far more successful than us and competing in top half of premier league. More likelihood of generating the demand for extra seats and corporate facilities? If you look more closely at Villas expansion plans they were planned and costed around 3 years ago (shortly after promotion), and their plans are exactly whats been mentioned that sunderland should be doing on here.
