East stand is dilapidated and the concourse is awful.

Gallowgate concourse is decent.

Main stand, lower is poor, very tight and awful facilities. Platinum club needs updating, boxes are good.

Level 7, concourse good, view god awful.

Leazes Stand - Shite concourse, especially lower tier.

Weighing it up, the Stadium of Light, as a stadium if far superior, it's not even close at the moment.

The absolute delusion in this post

i was up in the gods when we played milwall in the fa semis it was a shit hole back then 19 years ago
I was behind the goal at the same game and was shocked how crap it was. Really old stony concrete underfoot.

Had better seats in visits since, but to be honest I can't really much else about the place apart from the turnstiles being canny tight.

A disappointment and an opportunity missed by the FA for a bit of legacy creation in a city that’s clearly attempting to develop. Also a shame that the city has demonstrated its capacity to hold big events and cope with demand of big numbers in the way of concerts etc and hasn’t been backed.

It’s an even bigger disappointment as I think this significantly reduces the possibility of investment and development of a rapidly ageing stadium.

All that said, there’s absolutely no doubting the ability and validity of the choices of all host cities and stadiums in England.

Stadium wise I think the SOL is better suited for a euros stadium.
City wise, Newcastle is a better host city than Sunderland (although we’re getting some very promising looking developments over the next few years)
