Never really expected it to be chosen.
Poor transport links and a 2nd division ground.
It's true. Transport is non-existant and the ground won't be as appealing as a bigger capacity St James Park in the champions league and top end of the PL.Here fishy fishy![]()
Plus many more (and many of them better) hotels. Sunderland only has four or five. All down to transport I assume, maybe hotels but mostly getting here. Unfortunately newcastle has airport and train facilities we haven’t.
Your mam was snoringWhat you doing up posting at 4.15am chunky lad
The Division we're in has nothing to do with it. That's what gave you away. It's true. Transport is non-existant and the ground won't be as appealing as a bigger capacity St James Park in the champions league and top end of the PL.
Never expected us to get it at all.
The Hilton is great mindPlus many more (and many of them better) hotels. Sunderland only has four or five.
Aye but its still a bigger ground with better transport links and more hotels. The Division we're in has nothing to do with it. That's what gave you away.
If your team gets the NE place and the Premier League subsequently kick out your Saudi owners and you get relegated that in itself wouldn't be cause for taking a place from you.
There's only really that and the Roker that merit more than three stars though. The Hilton is great mind
Most major tournaments now have campsites too.Plus many more (and many of them better) hotels. Sunderland only has four or five.
That's one area where Sunderland does have an edge, unless Newcastle could use part of the Town Moor. Most major tournaments now have campsites too.
The public transport is shocking in Sunderland. There has been that many cuts to services and merging of routes it's become almost impossible to travel from one place to another at certain times of the day. That's one area where Sunderland does have an edge, unless Newcastle could use part of the Town Moor.
got to be the retort of the week that likeYour mam was snoring![]()
We had a train when I came back from London a couple of weeks ago. Has it been cancelled now?All down to transport I assume, maybe hotels but mostly getting here. Unfortunately newcastle has airport and train facilities we haven’t.
Wouldn’t worry Chunky, as the bid will fail anyway. They never like giving anything to the UK
Nope it’s simply infrequent compared to say going to newcastle. I travel to London at least three times a month, and try to get grand central, but nearly always end up going to Durham or newcastle. We had a train when I came back from London a couple of weeks ago. Has it been cancelled now?
Apart from seven Euro 2020 games, 2022 womens Euros, the Olympics in 2012, the rugby World Cup in both codes, Champions League final next year just to name a few that the UK has held in recent times
