Socialising my Dog in pubs

I'd have thought anywhere but a pub or enclosed space would be nice for him for get out and meet people and give your liver a rest . Failing that take him to Newcastle 😄

No, it will be about a 6 mile round trip for him, his second walk of the day, off the lead, then 30 minutes in the pub, my liver will just have to get on with it :)
I'm not a dog owner, but I love seeing well behaved dogs in pubs. Always starts a conversation.

Plus, they're almost always better behaved than kids in pubs. I think the perfect pub (if it exists) would have more dogs than kids, or ideally no kids at all!
I am a nervous wreck when kids are in a pub, terrified they fall into a table or onto a glass, some parents dont seem bothered and just let them run all over the place. Dog leads for kids would be good :)

I don't think it's open at the start of the week but the back garden at Dempsey's is canny and the walk through Burdon then round the back of Seaham Hall and onto the beach is nice.

Years ago I agreed to look after someones German pointer for a year as they were being stationed in Germany, the kitten terrorised it as soon as it came in the house, jumping on its back and ambushing it, the dog knew who was the boss :)
Bobby has a chase instinct, and the cat ran instead of standing her ground. That set the tone, and she can't be arsed with it. I put a cat flap through the wall so she can get out. Put one in the utility rm door so she can come in to the main house, but she doesn't bother. She alreet. Warmest room in the house anyhow.😁
