Social distancing

Reads very much as a 'worst case' model. If everyone is vaccinated (who choses to have one), I don't see any justification for it. On the premise that, even if the vaccine doesn't stop transmission, it will reduce severe symptoms to such a small number it will not overwhelm the NHS.
Exactly, if we have 75,000 cases in July but no one or a minuscule amount require hospital treatment then it’s irrelevant.

Fuck that.

Weve all lost a year of our lives. We need to get back to normality which means bonding as we always have.

Once the vulnerable are vaccinated we need to get back on track.
What does back on track mean exactly. The vulnerable are hopefully all done by 8th march ( 15th February plus 3 weeks). So on that basis what does 8th march look like?

Start reopening everything.

If the most vulnerable have been vaccinated there’s no reason not to.

We can’t keep pushing back. This isn’t a life.

Im the most COVID abiding person.

But why would we need to lockdown? Hospital admissions are mainly the elderly and vulnerable. If those are vaccinated then the hospitals will cope.

When should we wait til?
By 8th march the over 70s and CEV are done you still have the over 50s, obese, diabetics, special needs etc all unvaccinated. A version of normal isn't coming until they are done. The government is saying schools first maybe 8th march.

You can infer from that "normal" is some way later than that.

It will be a very gradual process Boris doesn't want to get burned again

So 8th march bang everything open no masks no distancing no nothing?. Hope you enjoy march cos you will be locked down again in April
Doesn't work like that, things start to open in March, likely the tier situation. and then back to full normal by end of May. It's a slow process.but I think folk will go along with it on this time line.

There is significant talk that the differing tier system on a local and regional level is going in the bin.

Full normal ain't happening in may. The world won't be vaccinated so travel overseas certainly won't be normal. That's just one example

Btw you never said what you would do if your hard deadline of may wasn't met

I'm not bothered about oversee travel, that's pretty much game over in any case. The deadline will be met.
