Ill be honest I'd dint gan watched a stream but didn't see anything celebrating the sols 20 years. Nee old teamers walking the pitch, nee celebrations etc. The fact it was a sponsored event dafa cup ffs against a fellow dafabet sponsored club and a club who are know to travel in numbers the cynic in me feels like it was fuck all to do with the sols anniversary and more a money making exercise.

Anyone who went are we missing something we're there celebrations they didn't show on the stream?.

Both clubs should be fined the cost of the police, damage, medical services and everything else after today.

Not much of a money grab like, what was the attendance? 28,000?

nah. There was nowt. f***ing embarrassing.

I hope the twats who run SAFC are happy because yet again they have brought shame on the club in pursuit of a making a quick buck.

Absolutely pathetic, what a way to mark 20 years at the SoL.

Totally embarrassed to be a Sunderland fan yet again today.

Imagine if we'd played an opponent of real substance today? It would have been about 10-0.

f***ing sickening.

Moyes wanted a home friendly. I don't believe for one minute we'd have played at home if he hadn't kicked up a fuss.

First heard about this game at Christmas so it's obviously been in the pipeline for a while (not claiming to be ITK, didn't think anything of it as it source was shite). Would imagine Celtic were picked as they're known to travel in numbers

What has really pissed me off though is how everything in the build up has been about them. Special appearances from the Lisbon Lions. Craig Gordon on the front of the programme instead of Quinn or Phillips or something celebrating the SOL. It's as if they realised that tickets weren't selling well and there wasn't much of an appetite for it so tried to appeal to them instead.

Darren Holloway tweeted a picture of his invite last week and I know Steven Elliott and Martin Smith were there, but it seemed very much like an afterthought. In any case, they're hardly club legends. Assuming Phillips is busy with Derby, what about Gray, Makin, Alex Rae, Reidy? They're up here all the time on the after dinner circuit

It is always a money grab. Sometimes it doesnt quite work out that well but from the off that is the intention - players managers owners and the various agents and such other leeches. None of them would give SAFC a second's thought if there wasnt cash flitting about

I was there from 2pm. Partly because I couldn't be arsed sharing my route to the ground with pissed up Glaswegians and partly because for some reason I thought there was gonna be a few things on.

The club should issue an apology for f***ing the 20th SoLs anniversary up.

Am really angry about it.

And I might yet start a petition against Duffbet or whoever they are.

Another complete and utter embarrassment from a club where no one has any pride in their performance or ambition to do well. That starts with the owner and goes all the way down to the people who after 20 years haven't come up with a solution to stop litter swirling around the pitch.

What Ellis Short has done to this club in his time here is a disgrace and he should be ran out of town. Sadly there are loads of toadying wankers who think he's great.

What Sunderland football club did was an absolute disgrace.
What panned out was entirely 100% predictable we all knew what was going to happen today.
I honestly think the people who run the club just don't know anything about football, they just have no perception at all about our club and the game in general.
Just look at the abberation of a strip, who in power would have approved that, then having Celtic for this so called celebratory anniversary game, did they expect it would pass off trouble free?
They're an absolutely clueless useless set of imposters who we're unfortunately stuck with.
Oh and edit.
It was a fuckin money grab.

Aye supposedly. Today was a joke and proves how out of touch the club is from the city it is in.
We stopped the concerts-bringing in tens of thousands of visitors spending money in the bars, pubs and hotels and at the ground. The club had built a reputation as a great venue that bands were happy to open tours at. Fancy that worldwide tours opening at little old Sunderland.
Never mind the club have stopped at all that thanks to Moyes blaming them for slow starts so Bain spreads the idea they were loss making. Instead we invited thousands of pissed Old Firm fans who have spent the day fighting their way round the town causing damage to life and property. Noone was interested and how much has this fixture cost for derby style policing? The concerts have now started going to St James who will see the benefit of all that visitors cash. Sunderland will struggle to get more concerts and there is another one od Moyes and Bains legacies. They are both f***ing useless the club cant get anything right atm.
