Sniffing round Reggie…

Agree. The likes of Glasner, Iraola, Silva, have shown they can do it consistently over a number of seasons. Still no guarantee they'll make the step up but they're proven over a prolonged period.
Silva couldn’t even get going at Everton. Glasner on the other hand has frequent ‘toys out the pram’ moments, happened twice at Palace and also at Monchengladbach. Iraola won’t have a past-it Salah to deal with so I think he’s the only one out the three going on to better things.

I do think it may be more Le Bris style of football that stops him getting big jobs (assuming we don't change) and he isn't overly charismatic.

Glasner hasn't finished above 10th with Palace and even with Iraola, he had two 12ths with Rayo and this season aside, mid-table with Bournemouth - hardly what you would align with taking over Liverpool.

Our goal difference is the clearest sign we grind results whilst also being susceptible to the odd hammering. Guess you could point to Arteta being similar this season but he's the anomaly in terms of those top sides....Slot has in part got the boot because of not playing "heavy metal football".

The reverse irony as after the first nine games RLB took us from second to mid table as a slow boring team which otherwise could have been playing champions league football.

With 3 games to go we showed our real potential.

Imagine what we could have achieved without " the professor " holding us back

The season lasts 38 games and overall we've been excellent

We've massively over achieved and 99.9999999% of the fanbase is on cloud 9

The other 0.0000001% is you

You're a Mag

Probably supported Sunderland longer than most on here and I hate the scruffy gravy stained, horse punching, bed sheet waving Mags with a passion.

Apart from the first nine or ten games we have been subjected to slow predictable boring football and conceding the first goal in 21 of circa 30 games when I posted that he should go.

I posted the statistics that we more than doubled our points total per.game when scoring first.

I also posted that his playing out from the back was.predictable and easily countered and we needed to mix it up.

I said also we were devoid of set play routines and wasting ELF on the wing

Plenty were calling for his head after Forest and Port Vale but suddenly he changed things against Man U Everton and Chelsea and we got into Europa.League

Had he switched on earlier we would have been playing Champions League

I don't subscribe to this small time mentality that we should be grateful where we came from and overachieved as we have the sixth most full internationals at the World Cup.

He seems to be learning albeit slowly so ill.let him stay for a little while.longer.

What mate you're a fickle kangaroo shagging **** we dropped from top 4 BC of AFCON context matters werido you are

What’s with insults? he has opinion you disagree, can you not express that without daft insults
Water of a ducks back mate some of them are quite inventive :) although many seem to have lost the idea that its a discussion forum not an echo chamber

Only Sadiki and Reinildo were regular starters of the Afcon 6 and Reinildo only missed 4 games . We picked up 9 points from 24 over the whole tournament so on par with the 1 point per game of RLB normal defensive approach when a full squad available

That's false we had no bench options Traore was the starting rw at the time and talbi was playing left wing too and we had Ballard injured and using gertuidaa in midfield we were clearly undermanned
