Right lads spoke to me mate. He's working in Ormsby hall in boro till 5.45, reckons he can get to Hougton at 6.30 if that helps?

He plays for Loftus CC in Redcar and Cleveland league. Says most of his gear is at the club as he has a game this Saturday. But has his spare whites and pads up here, no spikes and no bat.

He is an all-rounder, a top order blocker in the mold of Mike Atherton, a medium quick bowler when he gets himself warmed up. Haven't seen him play for a couple of years and he wasn't too bad, very enthusiastic.

He says let him know he if can help out. He will be happy to help.

Count my mate out mate, sorry. He rang up the place he's working tomorrow, John Cook hospital to confirm that he's finishing at 5.30 but they told him that he has to work till 7. He's proper gutted, wanted to turn out for the mighty SMB. He couldn't apologise enough.
