We Bury The Dead - watched on the plane, thought it was alright and Daisy Ridley did a decent job. Then for a week I couldn’t even remember the film name to post on here, thus it cannot have been that good. So middle of the road jobbie 6.5/10

A Dutch couple are on holiday in France. At a service station, she goes missing. Three years later he's still looking for her, and has started to get messages from the abductor. Genuinely unsettling film. Avoid the crappy Hollywood remake.
Section Speciale (1975) 9/10
Tense courtroom drama from Costa-Gavras. During the German Occupation of France, judges are instructed by the political leadership to find six men to execute as scapegoats for the murder of a German officer, even though they know they'll be committing an injustice. Many parallels with the current judicial system in the US.
Project Hail Mary (2026) 9/10
Can't give it full marks because it blatantly rips off so many other movies - but still, I really enjoyed it. Best film of the year so far for me.

Buffet Infinity (2025). Give it a try. Might not be to all "tastes" but thought was a clever film. Best just jump in without finding out too much.

So an overall Baggie rating of 5.5/10. (Not bad for a Netflix production)
There's a problem with that film of what people are expecting from that film versus what they got

Project Hail Mary - 8/10 just...overly long but some great performances and good casting, will watch it again with the Mrs this weekend. Definitely better than Project Nail Mary that I also recently watched.

Introduced me to a world I know almost nothing about. Not bad but there seems to be loads of books and articles so some of you will know a lot more than shown in the doc. But I enjoy investigative documentaries so this was fine for me.

Watched Harakiri (1962) for the first time the other day. A film has never captivated me so much as that for a long long time and considering the year it was made. Can't stop thinking about it, it's asks lots of moral questions of the viewer long after the credits roll. Also some fantastic Samurai scenes in it. You can see where directors like Tarantino take inspiration from in the way they shoot their own films. Perfect rating from me!
