I really fancy it. Watch it and tell me whether you think it's worth itO
Is this Marty Supreme film worth watching? I have it on YouTube anx have been slitting it for a god hew days.
I love this film. Pure British and interesting comparisons to be made with the gangster films coming from America at the same timeGave The Arsenal Stadium Mystery (1939) another spin, since it’s on Encore.
It’s really tame by the standards of even ten years later, but the performance of Leslie Banks is great. He’s a pure eccentric, and I found his mannerisms and delivery amusing. The football is fascinating and dreadful in equal measure.

Going to see this on Thursday. Love ballet and love the film with Moira Shearer (I think)Not really a ballet fan, but I saw Matthew Bourne's adaptation of Edward Scissorhands and enjoyed it, so really looking forward to his version of The Red Shoes at the Theatre Royal...

It’s fascinating, like a time capsule. Seeing a big poster on a wall in the background going on about Hitler really made me sit up and think about the context of the film. And Leslie Banks - what a great character. I wish we’d seen more of him in that role.I love this film. Pure British and interesting comparisons to be made with the gangster films coming from America at the same time

Really good , enjoyed it. Really believable acting compared to the real footage which featured the actual John that was out years ago. Must have been horrible trying to deal with that back thenI Swear.
Movie based on real life Tourettes sufferer, John.
Incredible film and Incredible performance by the lead.
Very emotional throughout, also heart warming but even that left me emotional haha. Im not sure what you need to earn Oscar recognition, but if a movie and a performance can leave you feeling the way I do now after watching........
Perfectly made, excellent cast and just a wonderful story.
10 outa 10.
The toxic avenger, wow what a load of shite. Was it meant to be a spoof? The Fantastic Four: First Steps
It was OK.

It's only taken me 29 years to get round to watching it, but glad I did.

My favourite of the first 3 (yet to see The Bone Temple).

Sinners
Was looking forward to this long before the Oscar nominations came out.
Was a bit disappointed, in what turned out to be a pretentious version of (the way more enjoyable) From Dusk Till Dawn.
Brilliantly shot with great sound design, but the first half dragged before it picked up a bit in the second.
16 Oscar nominations? Someone's having a laugh.

The Toxic Avenger (2025).
Was hoping for lots of trashy fun with this but felt it really held back and was never as stupid/ funny/ gory as it should have been. Disappointing.

yup, agree with all of that. Not many zombies though28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026)
Charismatic performance from Jack O’Connell and brilliance as ever from Ralph Fiennes. Some excellent songs amongst the horror. Manages to make itself independent of the first of the trilogy in style and storytelling. Looking forward to the third.

Yeah, its a remake of the 1984 Troma film which was a super low budget superhero/ horror spoof. The toxic avenger, wow what a load of shite. Was it meant to be a spoof?
The Bedford Incident (1965 )Point Blank (1967)
Hypnotic and engrossing. I’d had a few before I watched this, but even if I hadn’t, it would have felt like I had.
Stylistically, there’s a lot to admire here. The use of quiet and loud is very effective. The repetitious nature of some of the sound design shapes the hypnotic effect of some scenes. It’s all very odd, and very effective.
Marvin is excellent, pushing the offhanded strangeness of the narrative to its limit. He seems both in total control of his story, and very confused.
