Some corkers there. I'd add The Quick And The Dead (really love that film) and Dances With Wolves as well.
Does Hateful Eight class as a western? I'd have that too.

I suppose Hateful Eight counts, everything about the setting and characters is basically from Westerns but then it stays indoors in one building and turns into a kind of ultraviolent Agatha Christie

The Tenant (1976) 8/10
One of Roman Polanski's creepy apartment films (Rosemary's Baby being the most famous). Polanski himself stars as a man who rents an apartment in Paris after the previous tenant committed suicide...

The Village (2004) 6/10
As with other M Night Shyamalan films, if you know the twist there's not much left.

(Red Island) (2023) 9/10
Expatriate life on a French military outpost in Madagascar in the 1970s seen through the eyes of a child. Captures the end of colonialism brilliantly.

Very stage play feel to it, and nobody gets shot for the first 65 minutes. Enjoyed it overall though.

I absolutely love Unforgiven and it would definitely make my list of favourite Westerns. The others that would make my list would be

The Wild Bunch
Once Upon a Time in the West
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid
Django Unchained
Rio Bravo
High Noon
The Long Riders
Ride the High Country
The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford
High Plains Drifter
Blazing Saddles
Shenandoah
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
The Searchers

The Outlaw Josey Wales is my pick. Currently got my finger poised over the Buy Now button on the 4k Blu Ray of that

Great list. I'd add these two:

Tbh I'm not very knowledgeable about the spaghettis apart from Leone and a bit of Spencer and Hill
It’s a good genre to dive into. The Great Silence is very, very bleak.
Nobody 2 (2025). Fight fight fight. Explosion explosion. Fight. Explosion explosion. Fight fight. Explosion. Fight explosion fight. Explosion fight fight explosion. Fight fight fight fight. EXPLOSION EXPLOSION EXPLOSION.

Sounds great! 😆

Took advantage of Omniplex cheap tickets so me and our lass did a double header.

Weapons
Really enjoyed it, very different from the trailers I had seen. They gave the story a lot of time to breathe and I enjoyed the build up. Shot really well and looked great on the big screen. Well acted worth a watch. 6/10

Caught stealing
Hmm was fun watch but felt like a yank trying to make a guy Richie movie. Loved the time setting 1998 New York very gritty. Decent story but again it felt like a guy Richie movie. Enjoyable watch 5/10

The Conjuring: Last Rites

Fourth and supposedly final entry into the conjuring series. Some decent scares including a jump scare that made me shout “shit!” in the cinema  . Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga doing a good job as always. Decent enough but probably time to leave it alone. The second conjuring film is the best of the bunch for my money.

6/10

You've left an awful lot of Randolph Scott movies off that list mind.
