28 Years later - I enjoyed more parts than I disliked, there were parts I just wanted to fast forward as they just lingered on. I didn't even mind the kung fu Jimmy Saville bit. Still like the originality of the first film, guilty pleasure of the second, so the third sits well in the middle. 7/10

Deep Cover (2025)

Colin "Jurassic World" Trevorrow's absurd crime caper action comedy about a trio of improv actor/comedians (Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom and Nick Mohammed) who get roped into helping a cop (Sean Bean) on a bust. Things start unravelling pretty quickly and they find themselves way over their heads.

Worth watching for Orlando Bloom alone. His performance in this is absolutely riveting.

Otherwise, overall the film is decent, not outstanding, but it's worth a watch if you're looking for something not too taxing that'll make you smile throughout and chuckle occasionally.

Orlando Bloom though, christ he's amazing in this. I didn't know he had it in him.

Dick Tracy 1990
I was 8 when this came out and remember them pushing it like Batman the year before. I had the figures and stuff. They even had Danny elfman do the soundtrack fresh of Batman 89 and you can hear the similarities. Crazy how much this must have cost to make, so many actors in this not to mention an in her prime Madonna who was seeing Beatty at the time. Sets and make up look great, had a lot going for it but I just don’t think the character could carry a franchise like they were hoping to make it and it bombed pretty hard. I’d not seen it since I got it out in video as a kid from azad video on southwick green it doesn’t really hold up but enjoyed it for nostalgia reasons.
