See im quite harsh with scores because I think 9s and 10s get given out to easily and its all about opinions anyway.
No such thing as a ten.
9s I've probably got a couple.
8s a few more.
I love it when a movie or series leaves me thinking about it for days or weeks after.
7 is a very good score in my opinion.

Gonna watch Memento. Heard its ok haha.
🤣

10 is a masterpiece, as close to perfection as one can get.

I’ve not seen Memento since the cinema, good flick, probably quite dated now.

Out of the two Di Capprio movies I watched the other day, I might of slightly preferred Shutter Island, ya know. Had a weird dream the night after I watched it, where I had a similar outcome to the lead character. Should maybe mark it up half a point for that.

I liked it aye, had an odd filming style that I suppose made sense once you’d seen it.

Inception is perfection to me though. When everything just works.

Yeah its class aswell. I get into phases when I get hooked on certain genres. I definitely don't have a favourite genre.
I could go from watching western type things back to back for weeks then get bored and watch something like Interstellar and watch nothing but sci fi.
Really enjoy a good psychological thriller type aswell, not a full on horror, but something a bit chilling if that makes sense.

On the subject of Nolan and Inception.

Did you know that the Brocollis turned Nolan down for a new Bond so he made Oppenheimer?

Madness 🤣

Pretty mental! I’m sure he had Oppenheimer in the back of his mind for years.

I was a bit gutted when the picture from The Odyssey came out last week, I think he does class Sci Fi so was really hoping it was going to be Ulysses 31 🤣
Haven't seen many of his movies.
Gonna watch the Prestige after Memento.

Good shout.

You’ve obviously seen the Batman’s?
Dunkirk is pretty tough but great.
I like Tenet, moaners be damned.

My favourite is Interstellar though.
Nah, no Batmans.

Is Dunkirk the dead clever one, where its all one long scene?
Interstellar is a movie like I described earlier. Stuck with me for ages. Being a dad to a daughter, watching his pain, saying good bye.... and even worse, when he's trapped in the bookcase shouting for her had me in bits.

I’m surprised about that!
Batman Begins is a good start but so Un-Nolan. Then The Dark Knight you can tell him and his bro were given Carte Blanche.

Dunkirk is one set piece, from 3 perspectives.
Added a bit about Interstellar above.

I've got to REALLY be in the mood to watch the comic book stuff. I totally appreciate how popular they are. Ill definitely give in at some point though.

TDK is totally not comic book in fairness to it, not until the last half hour.

Rises gets a lot of stick, mainly because it’s not as good as TDK but it does have my favourite scene of all 3 in it and it’s brutal.

Agree about the scoring, can't think of many films if any that would garner a 10 would have to be perfect.Similarly a 6 is an above average film not a shit one.

Used to irritate the fuck out of me the way footballers were scored in match reports in the paper 'Gareth Hall - absolute parcel of shite, 5' so he was bang average then and not shite?

A Complete Unknown. I thought was perfectly fine even after reading some negative reviews. Chalomet and Norton are great. I'm no Dylan fan so maybe that helps. 6.5/10.
