Is becoming a decent player, and developing as a spin bowler. Should be considered as an allrounder though, and not the only spin option, at Test level anyway.
Shame the rest of our one day team are stuck in 15 years ago mode - nudge it round, aim for 260.

Well, they made their 260 ...... probably all down hill form here though with a run rate of 7.7 required ......

I think they always play him too low down in the order, it looks like he doesn't know how to handle it. As the commentator mentioned a few dot balls and he became anxious and then got out.

Bowling and fielding - they looked rusty and probably that's because of lack of match practise which they should sort out.
Batting - good but worrying that with two good scores for Moeen and Bopara no one else did anything of note.

I've just listened to Cook's after match interview. He's always so unconvincing with them, mind you mostly when he does them they've lost.

This is it in a nutshell. He has no time to have a look but he knows there is pressure on him to score quick runs. Stokes has to get his eye in to get going. It doesn't always pay off but when it does, well we've seen how destructive he can be for Durham.

i said it on a bell thread about 10 days back and lo and behold, ravi is left with too much to do at the end

why bother taking taylor and not giving him a run in the side as we all know that once bell gets to 30 odd he gets out ? woakes and gurney will not go at less than 6 in this series and the world cup

we have players to do well but it will not happen with the undroppable cook as captain. who has an ego in the team now, cook?

Bell hit 35 off 35 balls, no shame on him. Cook, Root and Morgan were a waste of a pick. Stokes will not play the next game, he was hopeless - smashed for ten an over and threw his wicket away in a tantrum.

bell scoring at 100 is fine but he forever gets out in the 30s in odis. we know his method inside out. its crying out for hales and taylor to get these games in sri lanka or are we waiting to go 4 down, then bring them ino sorry smoker bell and cook will ensure that england will be miles back of the run rate and then it puts too much to do for ravi, butler, morgan to achieve. though bells knock will keep his average career wise ok
