You could also argue that without the influx of money from Sky, and sponsors attracted because of the exposure, that England, and county cricket for that matter, wouldn't be in such a healthy state and produced players capable of taking England to #1 in the world test rankings.
The players playing now and those that come through in the next five years will be those that grew up with access to it on terrestrial TV. It's 15 years down the line when they want another Darren Gough from a working class Yorkshire village when they'll be knacked.
SKY's money is essential but to give them every domestic game is stupid. Surely they could package up a couple of England ODIs, some domestic T20 and maybe a test and give it to a freeview channel even if it was for nowt.

Sky are in the business of getting subscribers and if the ECB were to try and palm a few games off on normal tele I reckon Sky would tell them no chance, we pay top money want all the rights as it will get more people subscribing.
