and strauss stated that he is comforted by how he came through today.

so i would expect onions to be on his way back to durham asap

nick knight is not at all happy that anderson will probably play, as he feels we should keep him back for the odis.

paul nixon also is of this opinion.
 

Finn would have been ahead of onions anyway. Just thought they brought him into the fold to see hoe he was as he will more than likely be in the winter squad and in the ODI squad

I think it would have depended how bouncy the wicket is going to be, I think Onions would be more of a like for like replacement for Anderson than Finn.

I wouldn't hold him back for the ODIs, he's either fit or he's not.
