And their most recent bounce back means next season they will drag themselves level with us for the number of top flight seasons. A great achievement by them.

22- 16 to us in the premier league. Or are we really trawling back 100+ years to play oneupmanship :lol:

I dont remember newcastle fans going on about winning 5 in a row not so long ago, i wonder why that is?

Small club attitude maybe

Still able to get a pint of 5-1 Bitter in the Strawberry, mate?

Wonder if this fella still has his number plate?

:lol::lol:

Embarrassed for all the sad mad bastards who've now came onto here, out of nowhere, since we got relegated and they've been promoted. Almost as bad as the resident mags who vanished after derby defeats and their relegation.

It's staggering how despite Newcastles best efforts to give Sunderland a shot at the big time, SAFC have somehow managed to blow it. With your recent superior derby record and Newcastle dicking about with Carver, Mclaren etc, Sunderland should have been miles ahead and really made us mags suffer in the same way that we have ridiculed you lot for decades previously.
For once you should and could have been the big club in the North East, new generations from the area should have been chosing Sunderland as their team and we should have been languishing in your shadow like you were to us throughout the 90's and 00's.
Only Sunderland could pass up this golden opportunity. Cast your minds back one full year. We were relegated, out of the big league whilst you had the feel good factor, the local bragging rights and a premier league team who for once were looking up rather than down. How on earth you've fucked this one up i'll never know. Its a tragedy for Wearside that this golden opportunity has been allowed to pass

Now, unbelievably, it's Newcastle with the feel good factor, the star manager, the premier league status and again hinting that the good times could again be around the corner whilst Sunderland, are back in the championship, staring into the financial abyss with only the fading memories of recent derby successes to cuddle into.

Whilst you certainly won those battles, it is Newcastle United Football Club who have undoubtedly won the war.

Nice try :lol:

The 13/14 away game at SJP on Feb 1 was my favourite. Just over a month from the Capital One Cup Final. The one that IIRC resulted in a horse getting a black eye. Colback. Borini penalty. Johnson on on;y 23'.

Just think. The mags will never get a chance for redemption. Not in the lifetime of many young fans.
So...you're never going back up or we both go down and maintain a divisional difference...?

We are the big club, son.

"Star manager". :lol::lol: I do agree that we never manage to capitalise on your circus, though!

We will be swapping places over the next 20 years. Unless there's a massive overhaul in English football neither of us will be top 4 but both of us will suffer relegation again and both be promoted again
