Simon Adingra 🇨🇮 Signed!

I think signing so many African players is a risk in a season where every point is going to be hard to come by. There’s hundreds of other players to target who will be available all season. I’d not have made a move for an entire half a team of players were going to miss for at least 2/3 games

I think the clubs logic is that the African players we've signed are all in line to have good performances, which will inevitably run their transfer fees up when scouts are there watching them, so we've decided to get in early whilst other clubs may have been put off at the thought of losing players to the tournament.

It's probably the case that we've got the likes of Diarra now or he will have been well out of our price range the following season.

My comparison would be that Leicester brought in Buonanotte last season as a newly promoted team (on loan). Started pretty well but then wasn't in the team.

Adingra is a far better prospect for a newly promoted side. Even better that he's permanent.

Would be a good deal this one. Can play either side but I think mainly left? Seems to be a bit overweight in the squad on that side so maybe he'll be RW.

Brighton Paid £8m for him two years ago, We pay £20m for the lad and they have Watson from us for £10m…. Not sure who has come off this the best tbh!!

Many are vastly under estimating the gulf between top half in the Premier League vs. 4th in the Championship. He massively improves our starting eleven, is still young and the fee isn't massive for a player with Premier League experience. It's a great addition to the squad.

Completely agree

Oh thats beautiful.
"Ruined me Wednesday and kids are crying. Thanks Keith".

True, but they took a risk signing him from a Danish club. His worth has increased due to his PL experience and him being a known quantity now.

We have taken a (relative) risk on a number of our new signings -- so it makes that we would need to spend some money on someone who knows the league.

yeah and our squad players aren’t collectively good enough for the premier league. This season is already going to be tough but every single improvement we’ve made (so far) is unavailable at once. The side we’ll be facing Leeds with is worse than the one that failed to beat them last year.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t have any African players, but losing 5 at once, literally every player we’ve signed is going to be unavailable. How’s it being negative to say that’s a concern.
It's a shame that none of the players from last season will improve in any way.
