We know it’s within the context of discussion around the investment. There are other quotes that give it context . In addition in the context of him previously saying that we are the best run club in the football league and we could compete in the league above without investment he is now talking about routine maintenance and saying they aren’t wealthy and need help . That’s context

They haven't got the personal disposable wealth to run us as a L1 club is my take on it. Just my opinion.

I totally get why people don’t trust the owners. I just think at the moment we have to assume a plan is in place. A plan which might not include this season.

Sensible post mate. The whole football league know we have had a 9m injection. The last thing Charlie needs to be doing is a "Loadsamoney" impersonation

I think they are on operation "play it down"
Talking about fixing lifts and speakers is a way of doing that.
 
They say the funds are going to be used on fixing a lift and improving the AOL, Jesus you may have been born yesterday but I was not.

I think that is total bollocks, they don't want other clubs to know we've just been given 10m so got money to burn.

Hopefully we don't burn it like have in past though and spend sensibly then if we get promoted these guys may give us another load of cash and take more shares.
 
people think the lift and PA thing was real?? it's obviously a joke about how much moneys came in. so and so gives you loads of money, then you make a joke about something that is easy to fix, "well at least now I can fix X".

i spoke to charlie methven earlier when he came in to the uni to do the podcast.

Agree. Of course as fans we would like to hear more but as long as significant stuff is happening behind the scenes hopefully we will see the effects soon enough.

These things will be true, the physical infrastructure has had next to nothing spent on it in years. There are things in dire need of repair and upgrade that haven't been touched since 1997. Unfortunately much of it is stuff that the punters won't see like electrical systems and such like, but vital things nevertheless in the functioning of a large building

Wishfully thinking again nothing will be spent when are you lot going to realise we are being conned.
