And what is Madrox only asset ?
Come to the point then? Madrox is owned by Stewart Donald and the others. They have the money.IF!!!! It is a loan it's theirs, not Sunderlands, however, it looks like they have bought shares with the money, that are held by Madrox.

The point being if Madrox can’t pay then the club is the asset and is handed over for the value of the loan to a group who are happy to loan money rather than properly invest whilst the club is on its knees and is struggling to deal with basic maintenance costs. There has been no change of ownership so no shares have been bought

The club is worth more than the money invested. Shares have been created and purchased by Madrox. Properly invest? 9 million for maintenance and scouting is a good start. You are looking for a negative that isn't there.

How is fixing the speakers a "quite significant payment"?

In one of the podcasts Donald quoted a figure. Can’t remember it but it was a player at this level.

Things like having a rubbish sound system could stop the stadium being considered for certain other events. It needs fixing.

Basically we have owners who can’t afford to run the club fully. This stuff about us being the best financially positioned club in the football league was unadulterated nonsense. To come out with a statement like that and then mention a lift needs fixing is amazing

I hear what you are saying but this isnt really the chronicles "view", they are direct quotes. Its easy to say stop the negativity but these worrying signs are starting to add up now and are becoming harder to ignore. The fact that they are 8 days old wouldnt suggest that the chronicle has fallen over itself to stick the boot in either.
Fair enough but the owners cant come out and say we are going to spend xxx amount on players in January as it will just further increase transfer fees when we want a player.

I think the owners are being cute.

Lets just see how it all pans out without being too negative at this point.

We have multi billionaires putting money into our club lets just enjoy that fact.

The loan if that’s what it is, is to madrox not SAFC. So technically the club don’t have to pay anything back.

Quite true, although if they do pay it back (rather than converting to shares, then the money will come out of the owners pockets so, unless we are sustainable and making profit we can reinvest, it will affect SAFC because they won't have as much money available to put in. Unless of course SAFC are profitable and they take money out of it to pay off a madrox loan which, given what seems to have been said about moving money between companies, I'm guessing they technically could. Let's just hope we do well and they take shares instead!!

Just been reading Methven's comments re the loan from last night and they don't inspire confidence to be honest. He says it will be used to improve infrastructure which is fair enough, but saying we can now get the lift fixed at the AOL and fix the speakers at the SOL? Come on, this is at odds with the repeated claims from donald that we, "are in cracking financial shape". The fact that we need investment to cover these relatively minor costs, suggests this isnt really the case.
Ever thought he might just be having a laugh mate.A quip. Something to lighten the mood. Do we have to dissect every little word till it fills the narrative that SD and CM are con men.

This is pretty much my thinking. If we’re getting taken for a ride by the owners then so are the MSD boys, their accountants and their lawyers.

I find it hard to believe Charlie was looking at a broken lift back in August and concocted an elaborate scheme to get Michael Dell’s mates to pay for it.

I totally get why people don’t trust the owners. I just think at the moment we have to assume a plan is in place. A plan which might not include this season.

Well if he is having a laugh hes monumentally stupid. Particularly giving how he pays his bills. If i was a businessman looking for a PR company I wouldn't be wanting one where the owner grossly misjudges the mood of his customers by cracking funnies whilst discussing serious investment, against the back drop of the business being at its lowest ever ebb.
