Why don't all you football supporters spend your money on local youth teams and clubs instead of encouraging all these greedy 'businesses' TV companies and leeches as well as all the other shit that comes with it. Surely a team of 11 young local lads who play for pride and joy from this City versus 11 local lads from an opposing City would be a more realistic football match ...wouldn't it??

Taken from the coat of arms of the (then) Borough of Sunderland, a design that was based on the coat of arms to the Wessington family of landowners from the 16th century. The Wessington name was eventually bastardised into the name 'Washington', the most famous descendant of that family went on to became the first President of the United States, George Washington, which is one of the reasons that the flag of the USA has red and white stripes in it, as that too was based around his family coat of arms.

Where the Fuck is this written on a piece of paper or engraved in stone that I can go and view?....Wikipedia doesn't count.AND WHO WROTE IT?
 
I'd be gutted if we lost the red and white stripes! They really compliment my blue eyes!
