Looking for some help.

We want to introduce a new shift pattern at work that uses only 3 crews but gives us the maximum number of hours. We have the standard 24/5 but to be honest it's a bit of a con cos we only work 4 nightshifts instead of 5 and finish early on the Friday late shift. We also have a standard 24/7 pattern of 4 on / 4 off, but this needs 4 crews and we hate it.

Anyone work something somewhere in the middle, maybe 24/6 or a hybrid. 42 to 44 hours a week?

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday day shift. Thursday, Friday night shift.
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday day shift.
Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday night shift.
All 12 hour shifts. 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am.

You should be asking the rest of the workforce FIRST for their opinions/thoughts - instead of on here.

What industry is it by the way?

All 12 hour shifts. 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am.

Does this not need more than 3 crews?

Have asked the rest of the lads, just looking for inspiration elsewhere. One option was 'Multishift' which basically means you do half arsed 24/7 and get every other weekend off.

I was gonna suggest this, I've done them and they're great, except for the Fri n/s but the 5/6 days off more than make up for it.
