Shields selt.


Great News for the Mariners and as my Third Team..., like this Season when Sunderland aren't playing on a Saturday I will pop along to have a few Moretti's and watch the Sand Dancers!!

And also use the many vacant Saturdays that Sunderland will no doubt have to get the train down to Hartlepools and watch my second Team (despite Lee Clark) struggling in the National League, Pools are one League up from Shields, hoping the Mariners can make that step up this coming Season !!!

Ha'way the Lads and Up the Pools and Ha'way the Mariners!!! 😎

IIRC, he was unwell, which triggered him to try and sell the club, so I can't imagine him being their much longer? Perhaps keep the ship steady, with a 6 or 12 month handover?

It’s just a dcik swinging contest owning non league teams for chairman to boast to their mates and give it the big’un locally. Realistically they won’t ever get more than 3/4k crowds max. Not sure what they get now? 2k max? They are already spending way beyond their means and they still can’t get into the national league never mind football league. Then what for ? The vast vast majority of football league teams lose money every season. Just can’t help but be very very suspect about some random foreigner investing in South Shields football club.
