Sheff Wed - financial issues

Scary how this can happen to any club, never mind one of the stature of Sheffield Wednesday.

Awful stuff and makes you think back to how easily it could have been us. I think we came a lot closer to it than any of us even realise.

Can see Simon Jordan buying them.
They are an absolute basket case of a club unfortunately, whoever is thinking of buying them may want to wait a year as what little value the club holds will be further reduced in league one

They are in a far worse state than we were , at least we had the stadium and academy

Said it from the start, the current owner doesn’t want to sell unless it’s for stupid money and no one wants to pay stupid money for a championship club.

They’ll be lucky to get 20 points this season, you can still get 11/10 for them to finish bottom.
The strong rumour is that he owes lenders vast amounts of money on sale of the club which would leave the cretin pot less.

At the moment he has still got an asset but that is dwindling as every day goes by.

They still haven't confirmed whether their north stand will be open for the first home game either. Doesn't have a safety certificate as it stands as the roof is basically falling apart. Club is a mess from top to bottom.
I would say it won't be they wont be able to spend any money on it and id imagine any company doing the work will require payment upfront?
