Sheff Wed - financial issues

Said it from the start, the current owner doesn’t want to sell unless it’s for stupid money and no one wants to pay stupid money for a championship club.

They’ll be lucky to get 20 points this season, you can still get 11/10 for them to finish bottom.

Paterson not staying is a massive blow, although ridiculed at times the bloke gives 100% and is actually an excellent finisher which he doesn't get credit for.

Paterson leaving for MK Dons has me rather angry to be honest, I was all a bit flippant about other players having to be sold on the cheap but he, along with Bannan and Palmer are fans favourites. I dread to think what will happen if Bannan is forced to leave, I honestly believe that will cause some nasty reactions from fans.

I feel for you Mate. It’s like watching a loved one slowly ebb away whilst you can do nothing. Detest these shite owners with their bullshit and empty promises.
Wednesday are a massive Club and will never die. Why these owners cannot move them on as a going concern to safeguard the future.

MKDons signing Paterson is just crazy.

Hearing yesterday our much awaiting takeover is very close. Will not get excited until it’s official.
Hope you get sorted very soon.

Its horrid seeing what's happening to them.
Any risk of them being kicked out the league?

As shite as it is. They Shouldn't be allowed to start the season. Its not fair on the teams that have to play them if they end up forfeiting some matches.

Its like closing the gate when the horse has bolted but it should be a rule that if they dont pay the bills n times then anyone who can and can also put £x million into an account yo run the club for 5 years can take over the club.

The fact he wants 100m is a joke. He should be paying someone to take it over.

They still haven't confirmed whether their north stand will be open for the first home game either. Doesn't have a safety certificate as it stands as the roof is basically falling apart. Club is a mess from top to bottom.

With the players they’ve lost recently, the transfer embargo and now this: you’d imagine that’s them cert for relegation. Genuinely feel sorry for their fanbase. What a shitshow of an owner they’ve got. Poor sods.

The final moments in such a deal are the worst I'd imagine. Fingers crossed it all goes through but don't get overexcited until the new party puts their cards on the table. Hopefully no false-dawn & it doesn't become a get rid of one but bring in another to continue the job - which depends on what the previous left behind.

The EPL should hang their heads in shame for allowing these charlatans to buy clubs. I can see Sheffield Weds in the same situation as Morecambe

As you say mate it's a massive club with immeasurable potential. I hope they get new owners out of the mold of those lads at Wrexham . Not like the yankie bastard we had .

Genuinely really like Sheff Wed as a football club and the vast majority of their fans are knowledgeable and down to earth. To see them (and currently Morecambe as well) going through turmoil that is down simply to one persons negligence and complete idiocy is disgraceful to see.

I don't know what the final solution is to make sure situations like this happen a lot less often, but surely the people in charge of giving the yes or no to new owners need to butt heads together, knock each other out and let some sensible fuckers take charge because these have had their opportunity and are ruining football clubs.
