It's been many months since I've felt such certainty that we were going to win that match, even when we were behind.
As soon as the substitutions started and excelled, where as theirs came on, fell owa and went back off, it was inevitable we'd score.
United were under massive pressure from the crowd and more so on the pitch, but nothing they tried remotely worked.
The team and the manager planned what happened and executed it perfectly. That execution is the only thing Shearer truly knows something about.

No I don’t. There are reasons why I’m not able to express an opinion on that one way or another which I’ll not share. I have no opinion on Alan Shearer that’s worth expressing but it’s interesting that I seem to being called out as some sort of subversive traitorous quisling for not caring enough about him to loathe and despise him and his every utterance to the required degree.

Alan Shearer was an incredible striker but he scored so many goals because he is self centred and egotistical. I don't think his football knowledge is that great. I know it was the tail end of the season but 1 win from 8 kind of backs this up.
Remember this is the man who insisted in a clause in his contract so he was always the highest paid player. All about him - not the team.
I've never once watched MOTD and thought his contribution was insightful and so I don't take his views on the play off to be insightful either. Sheff Utd had one game plan - launch it to Moore and feed of scraps. Wilder is a dinosaur and Allardyce and Pullis played better football. We will struggle in the Prem but they would have been destroyed as Prem defenders are big and strong and can play football.

I hate when good goalkeeping gets ignored in a match analysis, as if it isn't part of a team's performance. People bang on about great moments of attacking play winning games, but forget that goalkeepers (and defenders obviously) have a major role too. It's not some kind of lucky escape when a keeper makes saves.
Using Burnley as an example, it's obvious to everyone that their goalkeeper was instrumental in their incredible defence last season and their promotion. Or were they lucky to get promoted too?

you could see the way they were time wasting, they were shitting themselves. Even that tackle by hume, there was fuck all the matter with him. They knew we were coming and didn't have a clue how to stop us, except for timewasting. Absolutely rattled to fuck.
