Shearer’s 30 goals for England

Seems pretty low considering he is the Premier League’s top scorer and was banging in 30 a season year on year.

Why is that?

He played eight years for England (the same as Kane) and has almost half the goals.

I seem to remember him being the number one striker most of the time with many of the other strikers playing second fiddle.
