I think like everyone else, I'm absolutely shocked by this. He was only tweeting his condolences himself about the passing of Rod Marsh earlier today.

RIP what a shock. What talented bloke, one of the best at what he did. An absolute master. That delivery that got Gatting out, only he could have bowled it.

Messaged my son as he was his fav player when he was younger and into playing as its he that got him into being spinner ( leg). He cant believe it.
 
RIP Shane. Will always remember watching him during the 2005 Ashes, even on TV there was a palpable aura of dread when he came on to bowl. The aura nearly but not quite broken by Gilchrist continually saying "niiiiiccccee Shane" after every ball! One of the greats.
