Does he do much or is there as some sort of mascot?

Just watched the goals back from last night and absolutely ludicrous.

Same themes from the season cost us:

- No one interested in stopping or closing down a short corner.
- Insistence to have 11 of our players in our own box, creating chaos and meaning we consistently lose second and third balls, if we win the first contact, with zero chance of a counter opportunity.
- Appetite to let crosses come in and rely on defending them well, rather than look to prevent them.

Fascination with set piece football is taking us back to dinosaur football of Pulis and old Wimbledon
It was a strength of Arsenal but they are coming undone
It’s awful to watch, pushing, shoving, wrestling and is more akin to a rugby union line out or scrum
PSG and Bayern recently showed how football should be played

I would leave 1 up. I understand Brobbey is strong but keep him up top and I'm sure 2 of them would stay back.

Feeling Brobster has more chance to be blown up for a foul.

This - it at least gives you an out ball and means they’ll have to send at least one more player back..

That’s the way it is at the minute though mate, so we need to be equipped to deal with it. We can’t be giving up 3/4 goals in a half with our current approach.

They always had an extra man , unmarked on the wing in phases of open play as well. It was a common theme throughout the game not just the set pieces.

Couldn't believe it when he didn't address it sooner after going 1 down, 2 down, 3 down, 4 down. Waited until half time to change to plan B, by which time the game was well gone.

Psg and Bayern also have set piece coaches that they use and have meticulous detailing around set pieces. It's an essential detail of football which needs specialist focus to extract the maximum for it. That doesn't specifically mean planning your game structure around it.

There was a lot of fundamental tactical mistakes last night, the insistence to try and beat their press when it evidently hadn’t worked, should have been canned at 2-0.

We should have played %s and balls in to the channel for sometime to rebalance and slow down the game while we made changes.

I can do this, giz a job.

Reet, you marking him , you him , and you him.
You on the front stick, you on the back.
Yous watch runners and f***ing talk to each other.
You stay up top lad
When yous get it launch it to him , then get up the field as fast as fuck to support him
Reet.

Based on last night Dave The Rave could have done a better job, so I don’t doubt your credentials

100%. Even temporarily going direct to Brobbey could potentially have forced them to abort the relentless high press, which destroyed us, along with our stupid mistakes.
