Enjoyed that.

Couldn't do it live man. What do you think would happen if everyone knew he was going past on the boat at a certain time on a certain day? There'd be crowds of people on the bridge and the riverbank watching in the middle of lockdown.
And Noel pissing on Liam off Westminster Bridge 😂

Could have easily just said nowt about the location when selling the concert tbf.

But the real reason will be because they probably weren’t even playing live on that boat.

They were like, there were clips on Youtube as soon as it was recorded from people filming on the riverbank on their phones.

"Liam, who lives in London, is going to be performing on a boat on an unspecified river" haway man  ;)

Wasn't shown live as the sound would've been attrocious, if you've ever played outdoor in a band you'd know that, the wind on the river wouldn't played havoc, all the gear would've been DI'd & they've had a few weeks to clean it up & hoy a few overdubs in, sound was far too polished, I enjoyed it tbh, nice bit of lockdown entertainment 👍

They didn’t have to announce that he was playing live from a river

It’ll have been pre-recorded in a studio before hand. Played through a PA, and they’ll have played along live to be filmed. Bit like how a music video is done.

Well that's bollocks.

He's never done it before, and openly mocks that sort of crack consistently (even said he'd rather sound shite). First time for everything like I suppose.

Will dig the interview out as he referenced sound and said sometimes outdoors the sound is shite, but said he was happy enough with how this one played out.
That was f***ing brilliant

Must've been good if the haters are claiming miming, (a knar) and technology wizardry etc.

Liam

Could be. Does tend to burn out in a big way over a tour, bit worrying if it's not lasting one outing like.

Nailed it on Wossy (even though I'm not into the song itself).

Just heard another one that sounded awful, Cigarettes and Alcohol. Looked dark like so maybe it was at the end but either way it didn’t sound good.

Cant be true. It was all pre recorded in a studio, according to some

It'll be this, the two you've picked up on are the more aggressive tunes he shouts rather than sings.

Haven't seen the gig, but here's audio from Headshrinker in full, sounds good to me like, in that you can't be having punk mixed with x factor type vocal delivery. Imagine McCartney singing Helter Skelter the way he sings Yesterday. It just wouldn't work.

Sounded very good except the 4 shouty ones like you say - Morning Glory, Headshrinker, Cigarettes and Alcohol and Supersonic, which were all played in a row. Hello and Fade Away were excellent.

Liam telling the London Eye to fuck off was a particular highlight

I think Headshrinker was good, how it should be delivered. Not like at almost 50 he is going to be as clean sounding as when he was 21, especially with those type of songs (he's nailed the ballad numbers plenty of times, those are much less demanding, and why artists who sing those type of songs don't burn out like singers who are into heavier music).

 Will try to get a nosey at it. Sounds like it was decent.

Bonehead makes such a difference on that song. When he's not about it sounds weak.

The River, absolutely filthy (the song, not the Thames).
Only skipped through to the oasis tunes via a timestamp link in the comments. His voice has gone by the end like. Not 2009 levels of gone, but the last 3 or 4 songs do him in. The band sounds decent though and you can hear the difference bonehead makes. Enjoyed the the sound of the drumming a lot

Headshrinker does for it. The final three after that it's taken its toll. That was a tough un when he was in his 20s mind tbf. Mind, I thought Headshrinker was great.

He nailed it up to that point. Although not so much for people to suggest he was miming the whole gig

They must have ran out of time in the studio before polishing the last tunes but decided to release it anyway
