I remember that In fairness weren't some of the 'coaches' just a normal bus? Sure we passed one broken down just outside Sheffield.
Agree it's a bigger match this one, but checkatrade didn't clash with holiday and wedding season. I personally know at least 3 people that have commitments meaning they are missing this match. That must be duplicated in to the several hundred at least
Yeah, it is a bit hard to fathom. Hopefully whatever phase 3 is sees a surge in salesI see you point but then surely that would effect Charlton the same? Would be poor to be outnumbered by them for sure.
Regardless of timing, since when would Sunderland ever struggle to take 40k to Wembley?
They don't. But they have about 11k fans turn up normally so are more than trebling the normal crowd. I get all the reasons like i do. But for a fan base like ours sales are slow. If this was say Villa or Leeds in exactly the same position as we are now we'd question it.And Charlton don’t need hotels and expensive travel costs

Every new member was also got a guaranteed coach seat, did you not know? It’s not straight forward though mate. Forgetting the fact the club is still losing 4m a year, arranging a large number of buses at short notice is a nightmare. The only way they could do it is by paying ALS and the branches money to let people go free.
Being honest, I wouldn’t use a bus anyway - nor will a lot of our support
We don't have a 500 mile round trip to make so that helpsI see you point but then surely that would effect Charlton the same? Would be poor to be outnumbered by them for sure.

It’s possible some may have sacked it off cos they don’t want to witness another Wembley wash out.So if we'd have been any good in the second half they all would have bought tickets ?

Thats true, i know its been difficult to organise in 10 days as ive done it myself. Still think its a very poor effort from ourselves if we dont sell out.
Pretty sure there's a few mags kicking around these threads re ticket sales trying to have a bit fun.
Let's just wait until the end of the week and see what we've sold.
I think whatevers left at the end of tomorrow pretty much wont get shifted. Tickets have to be posted, travel arrangements etc.
Can’t buy that. There aren’t many options to get down since the train is incredibly expensive, affordable hotels that weekend are few and far between and not many people will fancy driving there and back in a day. And we did this whole thing just 6 weeks ago, and I’m sure people already made plans for their summer expenditure - forking out for one unexpected trip is a big ask never mind two. It’s unfortunate but I think we should be proud of the 30kish that we’ve already sold, considering most of those will have been there just 6 weeks ago as well as having recently paid for season tickets for the next year and everything else that goes with it. Can easily spend £400 on a two day trip down there, which isn’t affordable for most. Then factor in that the north east is one of the poorest areas of the country, sorry but I just won’t buy you slagging off the fans for not selling out this one
As I said there will be a combination of reasons. Tight family finances and our recent Wembley failure (in a long line of failures) will lead some to sacking off going to the final. I wouldn’t call that sackless behaviour. I won’t badmouth our fan base.Sacked if off for being utterly sackless then.
