Why read the mag rag it only prints negatives about safc
I thought this statement was interesting...
A creative midfielder is the next priority for coach Dick Advocaat, but at this week’s transfer meeting in Toronto with Congerton and Ellis Short, the Texan owner decreed that players must be taken off the wage bill before further additions can be made.
Now it may be total bollocks because of the usual caveats: no source mentioned and it's the crayonical after all...
However, if true, maybe it's not FFP at all and just Ellis saying "you want more players, MOVE THE DEAD WOOD."
...at the end of the day, it's his money.
The Echo and Chris Young are saying it is FFP-related and Ellis wants them off the wage bill:

@eddy_clarke asked: It it true we have to sell before we can buy more?
CY: As I reported yesterday, it’s not about a lack of money available for transfer fees.
They’re simply looking to shift a few off the wage bill to comply with PL salary regulations (that Short himself proposed a couple of years ago). When you look at the squad, there’s clearly 4 or 5 who can go.
