Season ticket prices and opinions

I can’t complain at the price I pay for my concession ticket in the East Stand, but if prices continue to rise at and over the rate that they have the last few seasons then I will knock it on the head, can I afford it, yes, will I pay what I believe to be too much, no.
In same position with concession ticket in the East Stand

The problem with “not paying what I believe to be too much” is that there is now a very long waiting list of people who would be only to happy to pay

Question for the club is how far they value long term loyalty from those of us who eg held on to season tickets during covid lock downs in League 1 vs the short term opportunity to sell to Euro “Glory Hunters” at double the price?

Especially when sustainability rules seem to have tuned some fans into thinking they have to give a tithe on their wages to SAFC 😂

Difficult trade offs involved here but can see increasing pressure to “corporatise” areas like the East Stand

I'll be honest I think the club could've stuck £300 on my ST and i'd have still paid it. That's not a brag, nor do I think it would be acceptable, but I know I'd have still paid it. I just can't imagine not having my ST.

Its amazing how they keep it so cheap in the Bundesliga in the standing areas. The fact you nearly always get free local matchday transport just adds to the value.
Quite remarkable when you consider their TV income is a fraction of ours too.

I wish we had their supporters trust type arrangements at the top level.

The sad thing is that - as a result of PL greedy focus on TV money, dodgy sponsorship by online bookies, and blind eye to Sportswashing by dictators - the top German clubs no longer compete on a level playing field with top English clubs

Only a handful of mega European clubs with their own dodgy sources of corporate finance - Bayern, PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona - can compete

Hate to say it given our situation but half of the PL in European competition does devalue the sense of achievement

(And for balance magnifies the failure of the Saudi financed jokers up the road 😂)

However other than Bayern and maybe, just maybe Dortmund, the teams in that league are worse off than top half of the c’ship. Every season now their best players are being cherry picked
I like the way the ownership system works there but they can’t compete right now with premier league

Definitely, but I am sure the German fans enjoy their football just as much as we do even if the standards are a little lower.
There is little doubt we see the best talent in the PL, but it comes at a cost.

Oh I agree. Yes we see better talent but unsure if what the likes of Arsenal churn out is entertainment as opposed to attrition despite the clear talent of players like Saka

Aye the greed at the top of the game is horrific in many ways.

Europe aside, do their fans still enjoy the football?

I think they will and it's probably why they still get such higher crowds. Going to footy isn't always about winning titles or trying to feed off the scraps when the bigger teams don't do well, it's a social event for many and I bet they also feel closer to the club, unlike many of the mags who sold their soul for a single cup.

The signs are already showing that the club will be looking to increase revenues, one way being further increasing ticket prices. No doubt some of those who would go no matter the division, will be priced out or simply won't agree to being milked but sadly someone else who is there just for the 'glory' will take their place and the club now this.

We aren't anywhere as bad as some Premier League teams when it comes to milking fans but we're new to it again. If we stay in the Premier League and don't expand the SOL soon then the prices, concessions, sections available etc will change for the worse.

Ours are still pretty reasonable by Premier League standards then.
While we are still decent value our price rises are pretty large and above average. I’ve watched padded seats do premium seating reviews and what you get here for £800 in our ultra premium seats is pretty bad for the price. Some clubs in the premier league do way better premium than we do for a fair bit less than we charge for the likes of 76 yards. We are at that price point now if our tickets go up like many expect in 27-28 we will be looking at a fairly steep rise over a three year period and at a price point we will start and price adults out. It’s one of the reasons we need the extension, more boxes and more seats to allow us to keep football affordable for families that was the reason bob made the Sol the way it is.
