Seamus Coleman and Commentary

Geppetto

Winger
I was surprised the Everton fans didn't stay to give Coleman the send off he deserved, I can understand many will have been frustrated, but it wasn't a good look.

Regardless, did anyone watch the highlights on Sky? The commentary was spectacular before our third goal.

"He [Seamus] will leave a huge legacy and Evertonians of the future will always know and learn about the legend, Seamus Coleman...Seamus Coleman oh he's left it, it's Isidorrrrr! Sunderland's revival is not just about survival, the club from the banks of the Wear could be setting sail for Europe..."

I found it funny how Sky said Moyes doesn’t do sentiment.

He gave Pienaar & Lescott a contract for us man. That’s clear sentiment to his Everton long-term players!

He's been a great servant to the club for them and all that, but I couldn't help but wonder exactly what his legacy was and what it is he's achieved with them when they were prattling on.

Just a lot of games innit? Particularly nowadays you don't see many stick at one club for as long as he has, and he's been good for them which helps. He even managed them for a game didn't he?

I see what you mean though, he joined them in 2009, hasn't won a trophy, his achievements whilst at Everton is qualifying for and playing in two Europa League campaigns.

I guess he's stuck by them and not moved to another club, there must have been interest as he's been a quality player. They did well to sign both Coleman and Baines when they did, two absolute bargains who they did will to keep hold of.
